Easy question for advanced users
I just loaded WINE onto my Mac, installed the windows program Troopmaster 2010 for boy scouts through Terminal. I am not well versed in programming and barely made it through directions but I believe I did install program properly.
In Terminal when I look in the drive_c I see Troopmaster Software. BUT. I am not sure how to write the command in Terminal to open up the program. Also the directions

FIREWALL, Troopmaster FTP problem on Mac using Wine
On Mac using Wine trying to download database from FTP site for Troopmaster (Windows application) Application opens, I have upgraded program. I have fixed internet provider opening Port for use through modem. I believe I might need to add program to a list for firewall. On the Mac side, I can't see application (TroopMaster.EXE) to add to Firewall in Security. On the wine side I don't know

polarcypto and tsi libraries, needed in Wine
Doe anyone know where I can get
PolarCrypto.dll and
TSI.dll
libraries from so that I can load them through Wine on my Mac.
I was lucky enough to get other libraries that I was missing from Winetricks but still need these last two. I get error messages that they are needed when I try to load TroopMaster 2010 application through Wine on a Mac. Thanks

CentOS 7 - Firewall always allows outgoing packets?
Hello all:
I am looking at the documentation of the new firewalld service in CentOS 7.
It looks like no matter what I configure with it, outgoing connections are
still going to be allowed. That does not seem very secure.
I always set my servers to default policy of DROP for everything incoming
and outgoing and then add rules to allow very specific traffic through.

Centos 7 - iptables service failed to start
Hello all:
I did a fresh install of CentOS 7 on a new machine.
I wrote /usr/local/bin/firewall.stop to remove all the firewall rules.
It contains this code:
# Flush the rules
/usr/sbin/iptables -F
# Set the default policies to accept
/usr/sbin/iptables -P INPUT ACCEPT
/usr/sbin/iptables -P OUTPUT ACCEPT

Rails sessions working intermittently in IE7

We are developing in Rails 2.1.0 and serving the files with mongrels
behind Apache. We are using SqlSessionStore. Recently I noticed that
when logging into our site using IE7 the session doesn''t persist in
some situations, and persists when it shouldn''t.

I''ve recently been looking at Mapstraction as a way to make it easier
for me to support more than one mapping service, mainly Google Maps and
Microsoft''s Virtual Earth. However, I seem to be running into a lot of

Element.addMethods functions swallowing exceptions (IE6 + 7)
IE6 and IE7 are not correctly handling the ''throw'' command for
functions attached to Element via Element.addMethods. Firefox and
Safari are fine.
See the example below.
For IE6: functions called with no attributes (ie: funcName())

Running IE7 setup
Hi I am trying to run IE7 on my MACB00k Air OS 10.6.6. ?When I try to run IE7 and go to Internet options, under browser settings I can't set the memory for temp files. ?I enter 100MB and I get a message that the value needs to be between 8 and 8? Even when I put in 8 the setting is not retained? ?
Any Ideas, I am currently using Wine 1.2.2

Odd things happening in ie6/ie7
As always, i am again having problems in IE6 and IE7 with scripts.
The scripting works fine in FF2, opera and Safari. IE just wont load
it. Could anyone help?
It''s a static page for now, located at www.maifith.com/research/index.html
The problem,although quite obvious, is that it doesn''t load the JS in

Crysis Retail w/ Wine 1.3.35

I am using Kubuntu 11.10 w/ KDE Desktop 4.7.3. Desktop effects are enabled (OpenGL) and fullscreen Windows are undirected. I have an Nvidia 8800 GTX w/ proprietary driver 280.13. Everything works great (sound, mouse, in-game 3D rendering, etc) except for keyboard input!!
