Samba4 Member Server not working
Hi, I have one Samba4 server running as Active Directory Domain Controller. It's working like a charm. So I needed to add another server to be a Member Server (File Server). The server is running samba-4.0.9. Configured and compiled ok: ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/samba --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var --mandir=/usr/man --bindir=/usr/bin --sbindir=/usr/sbin --libdir=/lib

Backspace key does not work in a ssh chroot jail
I setup a ssh chroot jail following this[1] guide. It works for my user to login, use ls and use scp which is all I really want. I do have a problem I cannot solve: when connected and navigating the filesystem, the backspace key actually moves the cursor forward and does not delete what I type. I may have found a hint from some googling that readline will read in /etc/inputrc on login but if

Winbind on Slackware - no auth but all the rest OK
Hi list, I got a Winbind issue that I'm stuck with since a very long time, this is getting ridiculous. On our Linux shell server (Slackware 9.1), I Installed the whole samba from self-compilation, tried many different configure options but mostly --without-pam --with-ldap, and everything required from all the HowTos I've read. I start winbindd via: # /usr/local/samba/sbin/winbindd -F -i

The setup: Downloaded from samba-2.2 branch of cvs as of 9 okt. Linux 4.2p1 crash during reverse name lookup
4.0p1 and 4.2p1 are affected for me, I'm using Linux based around a FC2 build (~2 years old). I'm trying to login with password authentication from psftp.exe (part of PuTTY) but it. Maybe this bug isn't with OpenSSH itself but a supporting library, I would appreciate your assistance in tracking down the problem. I have tried getting a 'core' file out of SSH with

Samba 3.0.23c panic
Hi, I've just updated (using yum under fedora 5) to the latest version of samba and am now encountering a major problem with samba. Whenever I attempt to access shares (don't have printers or other such non disk shares) the access fails (after prompting for password, and performing some level of authentication, it notes if no password is entered that Anonymous login successful).
