Re: OS/2 Warp and eComStation
I can run OS/2 Warp 4 (no fixpak) as guest in native QEMU (non kqemu). I can also run OS/2 Warp 4 in a domu guest in XEN 3.1 on a Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty) host. A stripped down eComStation will also work in native QEMU but it will not run in XEN 3.1. When trying to run eComStation in XEN, at boot it will lockup immediately (at boot blob). Any ideas or fixes that might help? thanks

OS/2 and eComStation
Hi, Hoping someone can help me with some question on Xen 3.x and Intel VT (Vanderpool) hardware. Can IBM OS/2 or Serenity Systems eComStation now be run with Xen and Intel Vanderpool enabled CPUs? If not, what is needed? Are any drivers needed? Do you know of anyone working on getting Xen to support OS/2 or eComStation? > Jan 21,2004, Mark A. Williamson wrote: > Afraid so. > With

RE: [ofa-general] Infiniband performance
Hi Jan, I asked almost the exact same question as you about 6 months ago and someone provided some Gen4 results for me (But I can''t seem to find them in email), they were a fair bit better than Gen3. With IPOIB, you want connected mode and a large 32Kb+ MTU for max bandwidth, 1Gbyte/sec or more should be possible with Gen 4. Here are some of my original test results on my Opteron

Xapian Ruby bindings as a Ruby Gem
Hello everyone, I'm very interested in packaging the Xapian Ruby bindings as a gem for easier installation and integration into Ruby projects. I came to this idea, because many Ruby developers face the problem of installing xapian under hosting service where they have no root rights. And Xapian is THE essential part of the Rails plugin acts_as_xapian, wich brings all the Xapian features to

Xapian Ruby bindings do not implement full multi-value-sorting functionality?
Hello, this is a question that could be answered by collaborators of the Ruby bindings. Today I've played around with the Xapian::MultiValueSorter class. I've set everything up and then I tried following on an instance of Xapian::Enquire: : enquire = Xapian::Enquire.new(database) enquire.query = options[:query] : sorter = Xapian::MultiValueSorter.new sorter.add(0, true) sorter.add(1,

[LLVMdev] Publication: Two LLVM-related papers
Hi, i've two papers that could be listed on the LLVM publication page. http://www.llvm.org/pubs/ The first paper describes an architecture description language and LLVM back-end generation out of an ADL. The second paper describes a cluster VLIW back-end for LLVM 2.9, just before this VLIW initiative started for LLVM. Kind regards, Timo Stripf Stripf, T.; Koenig, R.; Becker, J.; , "A

FW: faking IB multi-rail with multihomed clients
Guys, For those of you not party to the original email exchange, this is about how we can aggregate bandwidth across both rails of a dual-rail IB cluster using current lustre/LNET (i.e. before we have implemented transparant LNET support for failover and bandwidth aggregation across multiple networks). The following 2 points are fundamental - everything below is a direct consequence... 1. LNET

title streaming with ices
I have been using ices2 for a few years to send several streams to an Icecast 2.4.1 server (both on Linux machines). All of the streams use a playlist. All of my streams contain Artist, Title, Album, Date/Year, and Track number when they arrive at the player as long as the file being streamed contains the information. I have checked all of my streams with Win amp (Windows), Audacious (Windows,

Trying to compile for OS/2
Hi I hope I have found the right list :-) If not, my apologies and a pointer would be appreciated. I am trying to compile openssh-6.3p1 for OS/2 aka EcomStation. For those unfamiliar OS/2 is a DOSish OS but usually porting *nix apps is pretty straightforward. It is complicated by the fact that our current libc implementation of pipe() is flawed and I have to use socketpair() instead. I

title streaming with ices
Unfortunately I am still using ices0 because our streams are mp3 streams. I looked at switching to ogg but many of our listeners have specialized players in devices such as Braille notetakers and other accessible devices that don't work with ogg streams. This station has 7 streams and runs on a linux server. Also to my knowledge Stream Licensing doesn't pick up ogg streams very well

Thunderbird IMAP woes
Hi, I'm a new dovecot user. We've actually just migrated our email system from Courier-IMAP to Dovecot (2.0 rc5) cause we were choking on IO and resources, and dovecot's cache and indexing really seems to help, not to mention the awesome amount of options, tweaks, and extra features, so far, I'm lovin' it. However, we're having a few issues with Thunderbird and I
