Hi, I try to make a vector in a for for loop, but it dont work. Look: > a <- 0;for(i in c(1:2)) { for(j in c(1:2)) { a <- i+j; print(a)}} [1] 2 [1] 3 [1] 3 [1] 4 I try to make this a vector, like this: [1] 2 3 3 4 > a <- 0;for(i in c(1:2)) { for(j in c(1:2)) { a[j] <- i+j}}; print(a) [1] 3 4 > a <- 0;for(i in c(1:2)) { for(j in c(1:2)) { a[i] <- i+j}}; print(a) [1]

Dovecot+LDAP issues
Dear list members, I am having some problems with a LDAP passdb authentication on Dovecot. Before I forget, the specs: it's a Ubuntu 7.10 server running Dovecot 1.0.5 connecting to 2 different machines running LDAP servers: gold with OpenLDAP 2.4.19 and extra with OpenLDAP 2.4.9 (extra is a replication slave of gold). The initial setup of dovecot was with a MySQL passdb, which is still the

data in form of a date
Dear all, I often use dates and times in analyses. I just can't figure out how to format my date or time column in R. So, apparently R sees the date as something other than date (character). Let's say I am opening a CSV file, one of the columns of which is a date or time. How do I specify that when opening the file? Thanks for the help, Jim --

'Scripted' machine account renewal?!

There is "net changetrustpw" to do this. When you domain-join the machine the machine password is managed by winbind, so you don't need to this.

Triangular filled contour plot
Hi all, I am working on a filled contour plot which shows a triangular matrix data set (as shown below). Is there a possibilty to draw a triangular filled contour in a equilateral triangle (like a ternary plot)? Thanks in advance Johannes http://n4.nabble.com/file/n1557386/Bild3.png -- View this message in context: http://n4.nabble.com/Triangular-filled-contour-plot-tp1557386p1557386.html

[LLVMdev] CMake build maturity
Hi, > Committed a change for the cmake build that implements the option > LLVM_ENABLE_ASSERTS. Defaults to ON if and only if CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE is > Release. Thanks! I think it might be nice to make this a bit more consistent with Makefile.config. I'd suggest... - use LLVM_DISABLE_ASSERTIONS instead of LLVM_ENABLE_ASSERTS - have it default to OFF (so assertions are enabled) always -

[LLVMdev] Question about maturity of various ARM instruction sets in llvm 2.6
Thanks in advance, Are all of the ARM instruction sets that can be specified with -mattr stable? I'm specifically interested in -mattr=+v5te. I'm attempting to build a cross-compiling llvm-gcc to build for Android. The Android native toolchain builds for ARMv5te. --Robb
