User administrator problem
Hi all,
I've a problem using a user with administrator privileges for mounting

#id fernando
uid=1000(fernando) gid=544(Administrators)
grupos=544(Administrators),512(Domain Admins)
Mounting a resource with smbmount works fine, this the result from log.smbd

Problem authenticating users from openldap + samba
Hello,
I have a Debian Squeeze server and want to configure Samba + OpenLDAP on it.
Following some documentation I've found over Internet, I see that I
must include the "samba schema" in OpenLDAP but apart from this, I've
installed on the same server a software called "gosa" and it has a samba
schema called "samba3.schema" which I don't know if

Samba+LDAP Group mapping
Hi,
I'm running into weird problems after switching from tdbsam to ldapsam
user backend. I have transferred all local unix and samba groups with the
sambaldap-tools scripts. The 'net groupmap list' command prints all
group mappings correctly, and I also can use all the groups present in
LDAP for setting local file ownerships.
However these groups don't appear in the windows

interdomain trust broken after upgrade to 4.1.17
Hi samba folks,
I'm running an NT$-style samba PDC and 2 BDCs. They are all on
samba 3.6.25 (the SERNET packages on debian wheezy)
I have a domain trust with another server on another subnet,
I think they run samba 3.5, also NT4-style domain.
Everything ran fine, they can login to our machines and vice versa,
winbind can resolve their usernames etc.
Now I upgraded the PDC to debian jessie,

I have tested by using smbldap-useradd. The same problem appears. What are the

Samba cannot contact LDAP server
I'm setting up a PDC using samba 3.0.14a-2 on fedora 4 with Openldap
2.2.23 to authenticate. Authentication via ldap through the various
linux service is working (login, ssh, etc.) via nss. Thus I know that
slapd is running and working properly. I used smbldap-tools to populate
and add test users/groups to the directory, and they worked just fine.
But samba, despite being configured
