[ESRI-L] outline polygons of point clumps
Sorry, I did not make my question clear. Since I have a point theme with many points, some of them may clump together. the problems here are: 1. how to find clumps in a point theme? 2. the convex-hull extension I found only deal with all the points in a theme at each time? how to make each convex hull around each point clump automatically? Thanks. Xiaohua On 5/12/06, Bob Booth <bbooth

[CTDB] "use mmap = no" Causes wibind to fail
Hello all, I'm currently running samba on debian buster, version 2:4.9.5+dsfg-5 with lustre 2.13.0. The problem I'm experiencing is pretty straightforward, if I set "use mmap = no" in my global config (as suggested by the wiki), winbind fails to start and the cluster grinds to a halt. Here is the error messages from systemd: Sep 28 22:14:17 tenzin systemd[1]: Starting Samba

Numerical print format and loading with RMySQL
Hi I'm new to R and have been resisting posting to the list thus far, but I think I've exhausted my work around options. I'm having a few problems with RMySQL and/or it's underlying packages. I'm doing a very simple vsn transformation on large datasets, using RMySQL to retrieve the data for a DB. My first problem was that I could not get the RMySQL package to write

Mssql Multiple Database Access Error
Hi All, I am having a problem to access multiple databases with mssql I am running Ruby 1.8.4 and Rails 1.1 on Windows 2000 Advanced Server. I am simply trying to integrate the application I wrote before for Oracle to Mssql. The application works perfectly with Oracle with the installed driver OCI8. The app retrives data based on a search criteria from those databases. I followed the directions

writing polygons/segments to shapefiles (.shp) or other A rcGIS compatible file
The main limitation of the shapefiles package that I put together is that it does not create shapefiles from R objects - rather it only writes shapefiles that have been read into R and manipulated within the constraints of the existing file structure. By this I mean that for example you can change the coordinates of points and write them back out. Or you can add a bunch of blank columns in the

smbstatus hang with CTDB 2.5.4 and Samba 4.1.13
Can anyone help with some pointers to debug a problem with Samba and CTDB with smbstatus traversing the connections tdb? I've got a new two node cluster with Samba and CTDB on AIX. If I run smbstatus when the server has much user activity it hangs and the node it was run on gets banned. I see the following in the ctdb log: 2014/10/29 11:12:45.374580 [3932342]:

CTDB and locking issues in 4.4.6 (Classic domain)
Hi list We recently upgraded our fileservers from Centos supplied 4.2.10 to Sernet 4.4.6, and then our DCs from 3.6.x to 4.4.6. It seems that since then we've had problems with locks not being obeyed on all nodes - they only seem to work when a second client opens a file on the same node as the first client. For example, when a user opens an Excel file I will see something like this

OS/2 Warp 4 Access Issues
Sometime not too long ago, I installed a new security release of samba on my debian box. Shortly after, I realized that my OS/2 Warp 4 box was no longer able to access the shares on my debian box. The OS/2 system is still able to access shares on other (Win9x) machines. I asked around about this issue on an OS/2 list. Although no one there was sure what might have caused it to quit working,
