Samba with ldap-Backend as PDC: Changing SMB-Password under Unix?
Hello, I have a working PDC with ldap-Backend under SUSE 10.2. Everything is working fine, except 2 thing: Can I change the sambaNTpassword and sambaLMpassword under Unix so that the User can change the samba-Passwords and the Unix-Password with one single command? Can I automaticly connect the Home-Networkshare to a Network-Drive? Without a Logon-Script? Regards Daniel __________

How do I modify registry: Hk user?
All, Looks like I'm in a predicament. One of our new sites will prompt users (in IE) to display "mixed content". Which is basically asking if you want to display some http in a https site. I have found the solution, (besides having a user go into IE's tools / privacy / custom settings / enable mix content) - with a registry entry. However, the registry entry goes to:

I am running Samba for some years now (3 years) and had absolutely no problems. For the last month on one of the machines the NT ACL stopped working and everyone have full access everywhere even if they are not in the acl. If I try to add them and restrict them only to read

The needed services are Samba (PDC), Apache (htaccess), Squid, OpenXchange, NIS. Does someone have such a setup and is willing to share? Using LDAP and Unix Group Group Mappings
Hello all, I could not find anything in the discussion groups or documentation about using LDAP and Unix group mappings. The documentation states that in order to map unix groups to samba groups, you need to use the net group add command. However, I have an ldap backend and all my groups, that I care about are in LDAP. So I have a group called mainwdev. dn:

Race Condition In PHP Session Handler
php-5.3.3-3.el6_2.6.x86_64 2.6.32-220.4.2.el6.x86_64 After some testing we moved our production PHP intranet site from an old server to a new CentOS 6.2 instance running the mentioned versions. At first it worked well and then user's started to experience a hung site. Upon some digging it appears that the PHP module is getting stuck in a race condition regarding the sessions file - [root at

I am trying to mount and access a Windows share, from one of our Active Directory servers to one of our RedHat Enterprise 4 Linux hosts. I have used Samba in the past to do the opposite, which worked very well.
