Winbind idmap question
And why do I want to get rid of id mapping? Because starting my tests this morning, checking id of the same user on 3 DC I get 3 different UIDs for the same user. That's why we would prefer to rely on uidNumber. 2016-04-21 12:40 GMT+02:00 mathias dufresne <infractory at gmail.com>: > All DC are running same Samba version : 4.4.2. krb5_auth: NT_STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS for users from trusted AD domains in samba winbind > 4.2
Hi, in our setup, we have a number of AD domains with an exisiting one-way trust between the local domain of the system (which I will call LOCALDOM in the following) and the domain containing the user accounts (which I will call TRUSTEDDOM in the following). The domain controllers run Windows Server 2012. Beginning with samba 4.4 we have an issue with authentication through pam_winbind on the

Does Samba cache it's initial netbios name?
I just found out that when doing a new installation in works. But as soon as I change the netbios name in the smb.conf the trouble begins... Everything can connect, but then suddenly the error does appear. Does Samba cache it's initial netbios name somewhere? -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: Sander van Harmelen Verzonden: dinsdag 14 november 2006 13:59 Aan: Sander van Harmelen;

Will *not* be providing RedHat 9 packages for Samba 3.0.25
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Folks, For the minority of people who still run RedHat 9 or earlier, I will not be building an RPM for Samba 3.0.25 for that platform. If someone wants to pickup maintenance of it, I'll be glad to turn it over. I will leave the RedHat-9 packaging files in for the 3.0.25pre2 release that we are currently working on, but unless I hear an outcry

Re: Fwd: Win32 services management?
Hi, I am interested in implementing the 'createservice()' functionality using the RPC protocol. I need this functionality badly, and I understand it is not implemented. I understand vaguely how this should be working and found some documentation, here: http://www.hsc.fr/ressources/articles/win_net_srv/ here:http://www.hsc.fr/ressources/articles/win_net_srv/well_known_named_pipes.html
