asterisk+heartbeat
Hi,
I'm using heartbeat as a failover for my asterisk server.
on the active server 1 i have
10.10.10.1 eth0
10.10.10.3 secondary eth0
asterisk listens to the secondary ip, so that if server 1 fails, server
2 will then get that IP.
so if server 1 fails, server 2 will have the IP
10.10.10.2 eth0
10.10.10.3 secondary eth0
problem is i have to bind asterisk to the secondary IP if dont, i

Bypassing a Auth on Invite or Forbiden?
Hello,
I have 2 asterisk servers that are not working well together. One is
acting like a registrar (PBX01) for all my PAP2's and other SIP/IAX
devices. And the other is acting like my sip gateway (PBX02) to
various providers. They are both on a private network and should be
trusting each others IP 100%. But the PBX02 challenges PBX01's
requests all the time even though

Tuning for a large environment
Hello,
I am currently using Samba 2.2.3a on a Sequent box running DYNIX/ptx v4.0.
We are serving up approximatly 4.5 terrabytes of data from a Hitachi Data
Systems storage array connected to our server by fiber channel. Many of our
users are on Citrix which connects to our SAMBA server via a Gigabit
Ethernet connection. There are still others that are connecting directly
from their PCs which are

How to bind RTP when IP alias are configured
Hi Folks,
I have a situation where my Colo insists on a particular IP setup for my *
server box. They allocate two blocks of IPs to my colo server. One set as my
own (ex 20.20.20.20.4/30 - 4 ips) and the other as a transit lan (es
10.10.10.0/29). These are all public IP addresses and there is no NAT
involved in.
So essentially I have to set-up IP aliases in my Linux box as follows;

ctdb node disable windows xcopy break
Hi,
What did I miss / do wrong? My config didn't work like on the
below linked video:
http://www.samba.org/~tridge/ctdb_movies/node_disable.html
With my config, the copy process fails/breaks despite that the
tesztxp PC successfully maps the other (samba) PC in case the
first (samba) PC is out. In the samba logs (even at log level = 10)
I didn't see any information that can help me solve

Testing subnets with samba[Scanned]
OK before i start, this was something i was just testing while everyone was in training this afternoon. I have never had to deal with subnets before as we only have a few users, but decided to do a little bit of messing around to gain some experience.
Basically we have one server (mandriva 2006) running samba, it has two 4 port ethernet cards in it but only utilitising one port from each card.

my two hosts don't see each other
Hi:
First of all, thanks for this great piece of software!
I found very clear the presentation sheets used at Linux Expo,
Amsterdam. :-)
About my problem, I setup everything to connect our two boxes.
If I type 'ifconfig' I can see them up. Also the routes.

Getting "Invalid HTTP format, parsing fails." from one client
Hi!
I am new to Mongrel but really like it so far. We''ve been running a
single instance for our test server for about a week now. When one
of our editors accesses the site, they receive a blank white page in
Firefox and/or IE6/Win.
In Mongrel logs we see this:
Wed Aug 09 16:25:30 PDT 2006: BAD CLIENT (192.168.2.42): Invalid HTTP
format, parsing fails.

thought I would take some of the spare free time I have over the holidays to

Please forgive my use of the terms "server" and "client" in this email, I
only use these terms to simply explanation.

Hi all,
There's long time I'm having problems with a vpn... I'd be glad
if somebody could check my current setup.
Our problem is we're having tinc-vpn shortcuts while we have no
bandwidth problem nither 'ssh' trouble.
I attached some log lines from both the "server" and the
"client".

Booting with PXE on Intel Pro GT
Hello all,
I must admit that I am new to the Linux/PXE world, and so, am still learning a lot. I am currently in the 2nd semester of a senior project at Weber State University in Utah, trying like mad to get a diskless Beowulf Cluster up and running. I was given a grant to purchase 4 nodes running this equipment:
Pentium D dual core Processor
MSI 965 Motherboard
Intel Pro/1000 GT PCI adapter

problems accessing printers by UNC path

CUPS printers are all published and can be connected to by browsing the
server, but if, as I was used to doing, you connect by entering the UNC
of the printer directly in the run dialog in windows. you get
