netlogon problems
Folks, I'm trying to achieve control over who logs into a share according to the group to which that person belongs, but with no luck. I'm running SUSE Pro 9.3 and Samba 3.0.13, with a Win2k machine on one subnet and an XP laptop on another subnet. In all cases, the user, instead of getting into his share transparently, gets invited to log in, and then the login is rejected.

Joining xp client to samba nt4 domain problem
Hi, I am trying to join xp clients to an NT4 style domain based on a samba server. The join appears to work and the welcome message pops up. Upon restarting the client, I am not able to log in using domain accounts. When I log in as the local admin, I find that the domain account groups have not been added to the local groups. Once I add the domain accounts manually, everything seems to work

The original server has been running for some time as the master server, but now I am adding a second (backup) server at the remote site. The global section of the original server is: [global] log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log printer =
