[PATCH] drm/nouveau/bios: fix a bit shift error introduced by 457e77b
Commit 457e77b26428ab4a24998eecfb99f27fa4195397 added two checks applied to a value received from nv_rd32(bios, 0x619f04). But after this new piece of code is executed, the addr local variable does not hold the same value it used to hold before the commit. Here is what is was assigned in the original code: (u64)(nv_rd32(bios, 0x619f04) & 0xffffff00) << 8 in the committed code it ends up

[LLVMdev] Just got bitten by accidentally using the wrong gcc
Hi all, I just forgot to ./configure with CC=gcc-4.2 CXX=g++-4.2, getting the (broken-for-LLVM) gcc-4.1 as a compiler. The error message that I got was this: make[1]: Entering directory `/home/jo/llvm-wrk/lib/VMCore' make[1]: *** No rule to make target `/home/jo/llvm-wrk/Release/bin/tblgen', needed by `/home/jo/llvm-wrk/lib/VMCore/Release/Intrinsics.gen.tmp'. rsync -e ssh does not work well
Hi all, I want to use ssh to protect my traffic, no rsh or direct rsync. But I have a problem here. Of the texts already written, I could not yet recall. Mostly they tell about success in using ssh protocol. I have made some progress by reading them, but I cannot solve the current problem, if not possibly turning to port forwarding, that is also new to me, actually. I have made two kind of

question on "optim"
Hey, R users I do not know how to describe my question. I am a new user for R and write the following?code for a dynamic labor economics?model and use OPTIM to get optimizations and parameter values. the following code does not work due to the?equation: ?? wden[,i]<-dnorm((1-regw[,i])/w[5])/w[5] where w[5]?is one of the parameters (together with vector a, b and other elements in vector

Dear R Users on a self-written function for calculating maximum likelihood probability (plz check function code at the bottom of this message), one value, wden, suddenly jump to zero. detail info as following: w[11]=2.14 lnw =2.37 2.90 3.76 ... regw =1.96 1.77 1.82 .... wden=0.182 0.178 0.179... w[11]=2.14 lnw=2.37 2.90 3.76 ... regw =1.96 1.77 1.82 .... wden=0.182

Empty folder deletion issue - Samba 4.15 thru 4.18
Encountering a strange one... has been occuring since samba 4.15.x and continues to occur even in 4.17.5 and 4.18 Issue does not occur in earlier versions (4.13.x) and have switched back and forth between versions to confirm. Servers are winbind joined, PAM and krb5 auth, all seems to work fine (reading, writing, creating, moving) until trying to delete an empty folder on the share from Windows

replace loops with matrix
Hey, R users I am using?numerical method for my research paper and the computation burden is very heavy. first I tried to do it with loops, example code as following, and it take hours to converge for only 200 obs. and my real data has 4000 obs. and the optimization command that I use is: optim(guess,myfunc1,data=mydata, method="BFGS",hessian=T)) then I tried matrix

[LLVMdev] Compiling llvm-gcc on amd64 with 32 bits: assembler still carps
Hi all, I managed to navigate around all those issues with environment variables and such. llvm itself now builds and checks just fine, but I can't get llvm-gcc to compile. Trying to 'make' from .../gcc gives me: ./xgcc -B./ -B/home/jo/i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ -isystem /home/jo/i686-pc-linux-gnu/include -isystem /home/jo/i686-pc-linux-gnu/sys-include -L/home/jo/llvm-gcc-wrk/gcc/../ld

To clarify, configure --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu --target=i686-pc-linux-gnu --target=i686-pc-linux-gnu I do this all the time on my 4 core amd64 box and it works fine. Hello, Joachim > This assembler was configured for a target of `x86_64-linux-gnu'. Hrm, try to check, how 'as' is invoked by llvm-gcc, you need jut to run the mentioned cmdline 'by hands': ./xgcc -B./ -B/home/jo/i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ -isystem /home/jo/i686-pc-linux-gnu/include -isystem /home/jo/i686-pc-linux-gnu/sys-include -L/home/jo/llvm-gcc-wrk/gcc/../ld -O2 -DIN_GCC

Problems building R 2.9.0... on SGI and Sun once again
I've successfully built R 2.9.0 on Linux (amd64, i386 and ppc), but am having a bit of trouble with legacy boxen. What should have gone into the variable that is empty at the time it is used in "for f in $SOMETHING" and why does it end up being empty?
