intermittent segfault upon invocation
Wine release 20010510 on Linux 2.4.4 SMP compiled from source code.
One in ten times, when I start wine (with an executable or without) the
program will segfault.
Notes:
1. This doesn't happen when I run wine under the debugger.
2. I turned on --debugmsg +all to see if I could pinpoint the reason.
When it deosn't segfault, I get loads of debug messages. When it DOES
fault, I get

Intermittent logon failures
Samba 1.9.17p2 running on SPARC 4 Solaris 2.5.
Windows 95 clients.
For some time now I have been hearing reports of users not
being able to logon to the domain--but I've never seen it
happen myself, and I never do anything to fix it. It's
just this annoying problem that doesn't happen often enough
for me to ever see or track down.
Today, FINALLY, I tried logging into a machine and

reliable fashion. The could run without issue for 10 logons and on the

installing printer in a logon script
Hello,
I have Samba 3 PDC and win2k sp4 client.
I would like to install printer on a machine globally, for all users.
To do this, I use:
net use X: \\server\unattended /user:domain\unattended password
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /q /y /ga /in /n \\server\HP2000C
First line is mounting share (Administrator is not logged to the
domain), and the second line is to install printer.

[PATCH] support ruby in the xapian-bindings rpm spec
Hi All,
I've needed to build ruby bindings for xapian recently and discovered
that the default .spec file doesn't support ruby by default. The
attached patch adds this support to the spec file in a manner
consistent (I think) with the other bindings.
I hope you find this useful.
Thanks

rhel5 rpms
Hi All,
If there is interest, I'd be happy to make my rhel5 rpms available for
others. I currently have x86, but I could whip up x86_64 too if it
would help.
Thanks

tftp pxe and dos
So I have a few questions. I have already made the base part of making a
windows TFTPD running with memedisk. So that part works, but what I was
wondering, if there is a way to some how add an option to the config file.
What I have is something like this:
label winstall
kernel unattended/memdisk
append initrd=unattended/winstall.imz
That all works great, However, for each image, I have

Sysprep joins fail on Samba >= 4.2.0
Hi,
We have a samba 4.2.2 setup compiled from source, single DC, internal DNS.
We've been using this samba setup in production since version 4.0.3. All
clients are Windows 7-x64.
Since we upgraded to samba 4.2.0 back in march 2015, we are not able to
join client machines to the domain using our sysprep unattended image, but
joining machines via the manual procedure using the Windows GUI

[Bridge] Sniffing a linux bridge vs sniffing enslaved interfaces
I can think of several potential differences. ?You may miss any bridge
specific traffic (STP, LLDP) using the interfaces generated by the bridge
itself.
If you have vlan tagged sub interfaces you might also miss that traffic if
you were snooping a particular interface. Obviously you will miss any
on-wire broadcast traffic specific to the layer1 connection a particular
interface was connected to

FW: Help for setting up windows unattended installation
Hi,
I'm not sure what you call it, but I do not use EFI, so I guess it is
BIOS/legacy system.
My idea was to have the option to install windows 7 on my computer and it
should install drivers that's not recognized in the install progress.
My default file is this:

[Bridge] Sniffing a linux bridge vs sniffing enslaved interfaces
Hi all
Assume that you have a linux bridge with two interfaces eth0 and eth1
enslaved to this bridge
What is the difference between sniffing the bridge and sniffing its
interfaces?
tcpdump -i br0 vs tcpdump -i eth0
Thanks
