Modify and backup winbindd_idmap.tdb
Hello list,
Is there a possibility to add entries to the winbindd_idmap.tdb manually?
I know I can use tdbdump to see the entries, but is there a chance to modify?
My problem is I have to map some uid to some Windows SID without using LDAP. On the other hand new user not having any uid in linux should map to the range of uid I defind by using
idmap uid = 10000-20000

one-site competition data // curve fitting
Hello everyone,
I have biological data from a competition experiment where a free ligand is titrated against the binding of a protein.
Now, I would like to fit a standard on-site binding curve to this data in order to obtain the IC50 and Kd values.
Unfortunately I have not been able to find a package/function which allows such a fitting and calculates the results.
Does anyone know if there is

Standardized beta-coefficients in regression
Hello list,
I am used to give a lot of attention to the standardized regression
coefficients, which in SPSS are listed automatically.
Is there alternative to running the last two lines in the following example to
get all the information?
ctl <- c(4.17,5.58,5.18,6.11,4.50,4.61,5.17,4.53,5.33,5.14)
trt <- c(4.81,4.17,4.41,3.59,5.87,3.83,6.03,4.89,4.32,4.69)

Rating/Survey Plugin
I would like include the ability for people to rate posts on my site
from 1 to 5. I would like to then display the average rating for each
post. To compute the average each time is obviously database and cpu
intensive. I have been thinking about the best solution. I could
certainly use a cache and expire it every x minutes. However, I don''t
want to reinvent the wheel. Is there

rsync --partial produces corrupt data on ctrl-c
Hi there,
in partial mode of Rsync in version up to 2.5.5 on Linux an Cygwin a Ctrl-C
during syncing creates a corrupted file.
The partially transfered data (with a dot on first position of the filename)
will be renamed after a ctrl-c occurs (on both
OS) or a window-close (cygwin) to the filename of a fully transfered file
(without the dot), which aren't complete !
To reproduce the error do:

Duplicate entries in winbindd_idmap.tdb
G'day Folks,
We are having problems with numerous duplicate entries in
winbindd_idmap.tdb
resulting in the available userid range set in smb.conf being quickly and
repeatedly exhausted.
The duplicate entries all appear to have a WBA_PASSWD key, e.g
{
key = "WBA_PASSWD/UID/9945\00"
data = "nexxxo01\00"
}
{
key = "WBA_PASSWD/UID/9720\00"

Samba 3.5 uid gid winbindd_idmap.tdb severe problems
Hello all,
right now I am using Samba 3.0.33 on Centos 5.6. The users need to
access the files from Linux and from Windows so I maintain the
Linux users in nis and the Windows users in AD. Samba is AD integrated.
I am using an custom python script that collects some data from nis and
from winbindd_idmap.tdb, creates a new file and imports it into
winbindd_idmap.tdb. This works remarkably well.

Migrating winbindd_idmap.tdb to ldap idmap backend
We're using s. 2.2.8a in conjunction with a win2k dc. For uid/gid-mapping we
use winbindd. Now we plan the migration to samba 3. We have about 100 Users
and i don't want to rebuild the idmaps by hand. Is it possible to move the
winbindd_idmap.tdb to the ldap idmap backend?
