mod_ntlm_winbind on Apache vs. IE6, no POST method
Hello, I have setup mod_ntlm_winbind to provide authentication for an Apache 1.3.33 webserver running on Fedora Core 3. The authentication works, but I have run into a problem when using Internet Explorer. It seems that the problem might be with Internet Explorer itself, but here is what I think is happening - the browser will not submit any forms with a POST method on a website protected with

Concerned about Dovecot's new NTLM code
I'm pleased to see another project increasing compatibility with windows clients, by the addition of NTLM login support, but I'm a bit worried about a few implementation details, and hope to offer an alternate approach. I mean no disrespect to those who have implemented to the code so far, but I feel that the idea of 'everybody re-implement NTLM' is prone to failure. Firstly, to

mod_ntlm_winbind / Apache2
Hi, I'm trying to set up Apache2 with mod_ntlm_winbind so our Windows users can log onto our Intranet automatically without having to type in their username / password. I've gotten part of the way there, but things aren't behaving the way I'd like/expect. So far, I've been able to log on using Firefox but only with the password dialog popping up, and then only if I enter my

IE says it cannot find the server when trying to access http://server/auth Firefox pops up an authentication box but this also does not work. Can anyone point me into what I might be doing wrong or may

Combining mod_auth_winbind with other authorization modules
I'm trying to use the mod_auth_winbind module from lorikeet SVN to control access to an Apache 2.2.3 server. Samba is 3.0.23b supplied with Mandriva 2007 and is configured is a member of a w2k3 AD domain. The Apache users are using IE on W2k or XP domain member clients. Samba and winbind are working as expected, and if I just use the mod_auth_winbind module to authenticate the users

NTLM and Samba domain - problem with (non-local) logons.
Hello! I have a quite strange issue with the Samba based NT domain that I administer. I've triet to search for the solution but none of the information that I had found seemed to work. The trouble is that I can't manage to setup a ntlm based authentication. It applies to both linux and w32 architectures. In the latter case I achieve some level of usability - I can login locally. If I try

VPN server and logon to Samba PDC
My goal is to make VPN access to our Samba PDC (FreeBSD 7.0) so that users can access there home shares from Windows clients. I have read the instructions at http://samba.org/ftp/unpacked/lorikeet/pppd/final-report.pdf, but I can't make it work. Don't know if is due to my lack of skills or has something to do with the Popop functionality in FreeBSD. Following the instructions, i made a

NT4 RAS Dial-in with Samba 3 PDC
Hi, I am searching for information on how to set up an NT4 RAS server to authenticate users against a Samba 3 PDC. Right now we have 2 domain controllers and the plan is to phase them out. We want to set up samba as the PDC, but we need RAS to work for the time being. Is there a way to do this? We are going to use the LDAP backend for samba. Is it also possible to have our NT4 BDC stay

Me, the grouser?

And by here I mean the Xiph lists. I've seen you speaking ill of our formats and of free software more than in one occasion. So, for what purpose do you still stick around? What

Flac multi channel
Hi Guys, I know that FLAC format is currently limited to 8 channels but I was wondering if this hard limitation of the format or if it can be easily circumvented if the flac library is compiled with other settings and/or the software using it don't mind it Thanks ! -- Olivier Tristan Research & Development www.uvi.net

Flac multi channel
I see :( That what I would call a good struct size optimisation. Please tell me there was another reason behind this being only 3 instead of 8 or 16 bits, right ? 2017-01-25 18:30 GMT+01:00 Tor-Einar Jarnbjo <tor-einar at jarnbjo.name>: > Hello Olivier, > > the limitation is in the file format itself, as the number of channels is > encoded in a 3 bit field in the streaminfo

My Flash 10 attempt
Hi everybody, after hearing about the new Sound functionality in Flash 10, Arek's performance gain using the new Vector type instead of Array and not at least actually seeing the performance boost he achieved compared to my old Vorbis decoder, I found a few hours yesterday to migrate my old code. First of all: the new PCM playback API for Flash is rather restricted and only allows 44.1
