Hi there, I have a samba install on centos 5 with the latest version of samba (samba-3.0.33-3.28). There were two files that just disappeared. The users description is as below: I had worked on them ? both were excel files that linked to each other. Interesting problem with samba and .ntprofile
To ANYONE that can help :), we where using samba version 2.0.7 and everything worked great. we just upgraded to version 2.2.7a. and now we get this weird/wicked problem. sometimes when a user logs out and then trys to log back in it says "//servername/.ntprofile/share/file" cannot be copied over. i can delete the file and then another file cant be copied over. i at times cant delete

Cannot access HOME folder after upgrading to 4.8 from 4.6
Hello- I upgraded Samba from 4.6 to 4.8 on a FreeBSD 11.2 server. After the upgrade, users cannot access the HOME folder share but they can access other shares just fine. Can't login into PDC, Running Samba 2.2.7 on Suse 8.2
I am new to Linux and Samba, and I have attempted to set-up a Samba PDC. However, every time I try to log in to my domain using Win XP or Y2K I receive errors. Dave clients on OS 9 not able to logon to Samba 3

W2K Office97 File Open or Save problem

Samba PDC+Domain Admin Group

macintosh file clutter on samba filesystems.
I have a client who has a bunch of macs accessing some samba shares, and they write these ._filename and .DS_STORE files all over the place, he would perfer it to not write these files at all.
