Wireless LANs and Asterisk
Has anyone had any experience with wireless LANs and Asterisk? We have and here are my impressions. We configured an Asterisk in the office as a precaution to see how it would work for our own retail customers. Our office is open space, about 800 sq ft. (20x40 area). We use Snom200 and Grandstream SIP phones. Using the latest Linksys wireless access point (WAP54g) and 3 wireless bridges

load balancing between two default gateways
Hi list gurus, long story short we have firewall machine which is the default gateway for our clients and firewall send traffic out to Internet via cisco router. On cisco we have two serial interfaces 1Mb and 2Mb. On firewall #route add default gw xxx.xxx.xx.xxx (for 2mb) #route add default gw xxx.xxx.xx.xxx (for 1mb) and the same rule for Imb link route packets via these two links. However I

Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility - mini-pci wireless card 1390
Is there any way I can find a driver and/or get the above wireless card working in CentOS 5 on my Dell laptop (Inspiron 1501). I've installed ipw2200 from RPMForge, but it now appears that this won't work because the card is not an Intel PRO/Wireless card. Dell seem to support only MS Windows Vista now so I don't think there's much chance of getting a driver from them - so am I on

thinkpad x200 wireless LAN
On the following system: Linux 2.6.18-128.el5 #1 SMP Wed Jan 21 10:41:14 EST 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux the Intel 5100 pci wireless adapter appears to be detected and a reasonable driver is indicated (iwlagn) but the radio does not appear to be on, at least the little antenna like LED is off. The radio switch is on and the Bluetooth LED is on. Has any one conquered this yet? --

[Bridge] Wireless bridge - revisited
Several weeks ago (July 1st), you may remember me asking about using a Linksys WET11 (ethernet to wireless bridge) with bridge-utils. Mark Mathews was kind enough to respond and described a situation he called "b/mcast echo". From his reply: " Because of the games that have to be played to build WLAN station bridge devices, some have a problem with what I call 'b/mcast

Hi all, I'm trying out bridging for my wireless and wired LAN, so that they can both use my PPPoE connection. Here's the network structure, pretty easy: darjeeling (192.168.1.7) ringo (192.168.1.3) (mtu 1500) (mtu 1500) \ / \ wlan0 <--br0 (mtu 1500)--> eth1

Bridging lan over wireless link
Hi all, I want to create a bridge (see picture below) between 2 LANs with the same IP range (192.168.0.0/24) using 2 wireless links that use load sharing over multiple interfaces (as descibed here: http://lartc.org/howto/lartc.loadshare.html) for load balancing and fault tolerance. Both links should use IPsec for encryption. I have googled for an example that does this but I could not find it.

Turning Wireless Radio on and off: how?
Hi all, I've got a Dell Inspiron 1501 with a Broadcom 1390 Wlan mini card (integrated) wireless lan chipset. I've got an init script setup to activate the wireless connection at boot time, however when the system boots the adapter doesn't connect. I'm not able to get a connection until after the desktop is done loading and I run the script from the command line. After some

I'm looking at a buying a Linksys WPC54G adapter (although I haven't done so yet). Tukey Kramer with ANOVA (glm)
Hello, I am performing a BACI analysis with ANOVA using the following glm: fit1<-glm(log(Cucs_m+1)~(BA*Otter)+BA+Otter+ID+Primary, data=b1) The summary(aov(fit1)) shows significance in the interaction; however, now I would like to determine what combinations of BA and Otter are significantly different (each factor has two levels). ID and PRIMARY substrates are categorical and included in

Nonlinear statistical modeling -- a comparison of R and AD Model Builder
There has recently been some discussion on the list about AD Model builder and the suitability of R for constructing the types of models used in fisheries management. https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2006-January/086841.html https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2006-January/086858.html I think that many R users understimate the numerical challenges that some of the typical

| yes, the exit code will be 1 if any of the flac files failed | testing, else 0 (i.e. if all of them passed). Thank you, Josh! Now the only trick is to see whether command.com can do anything with that information.
