Cannot start SWAT on Solaris 8 server - libiconv.so.2: open failed: No such file or directory
Hi!
I'm having some trouble getting SWAT to run on a Solaris 8 server of mine.
On this server, SWAT is started through inetd:
root_s07nfs:/opt/ > grep swat /etc/inetd.conf
swat stream tcp nowait.400 root /opt/samba-3.0.0/samba/bin/swat swat
When I go to http://server:901/, I see this in the browser window:

Outlook XP/2002 with Samba
Please help,
We've searched high and low for a solution, but nothing. We're upgrading
our Office 2000 to Office XP on Metaframe 1.8/NT TSE. We use a Samba 2.0.7
and 2.2.2 on Solaris 2.6 and 2.8 respectively. Both are disallowing the
user to write to their outlook.pst file. What's more, we can compact the
PST file, but ONLY OUTSIDE of outlook (example, right clicking on properties

Outlook XP on NT 4.0 Terminal Server Edition & Samba
To start with, I'd like to praise the entire Samba Team, Samba 2.2.3.a
compiled and installed perfected. I wish all vendors could do that good of
job. Great documentation too! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.
Now that the "cheese" is over with...
I posted a problem the other day concerning the funtionality between Outlook

winbind problem on solaris (samba head)
Hello,
I just buildt via cvs samba head. I used just the option --with-winbind (no
pam). The first problem is that sessionid.tdb is missing after the build.
I don't know how to make it make a new one (can I copy one from another
server or is there something in it that would make that a bad idea?). The
other problem is that wbinfo -t says secret is good, wbinfo -g/u return the

R-help Digest, Vol 115, Issue 12
Hello Amelie,
I don't have an answer to your question, but I just wanted to point out
this page I noticed recently (
http://hlplab.wordpress.com/2009/05/07/multinomial-random-effects-models-in-r/),
which might be helpful.
I'm also interested in figuring out how to do a multinomial glmm, so if you
find out anything I'd be happy to hear more about it! Based on what I've

multinomial MCMCglmm
Dear all,
I would like to add mixed effects in a multinomial model and I am trying
to use MCMCglmm for that.
The main problem I face: my data set consits of a trapping data set,
where the observation at eah trap (1 or 0 for each species) have been
aggregated per traplines. Therefore we have a proportion of
presence/absence for each species per trapline.
ex:
ID_line mesh habitat Apsy Mygl

Multinomial MCMCglmm
Thanks for your answers Stephen and Ben,
I hope I am posting on the correct list now.
I managed so far to run the multinomial model with random effect with the
following command:
MCMCglmm(fixed=cbind(Apsy,Mygl,Crle,Crru,Miag,empty) ~
habitat:trait,random=~idh(trait):mesh,family="multinomial12",
data=dataA,rcov=~trait:units)
(where multiple responses are different species,

It's likely that libcrypto.so isn't in LD_LIBRARY_PATH. Try running this and
see if you get an error:
$ ssh yourserver /usr/local/openssh/libexec/sftp-server
or add something like:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib:/path/to/ssl/lib
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

installing samba
Hi,
I just downloaded the latest version of Samba in the form of samba-latest.tar.gz
Managed to unzip it with gunzip but cannot figure out how to install it. Tried rpm but didn't work.
I have an earlier version of Samba (2.0.6) on my SuSE 6.4 machine already.
Can I just install the new version or do I need to do some sort of uninstall of the previous version first.
advTHANKSance,

Have just spend the afternoon browsing and trying to find the solution to
this error. We are running AIX 4.3.3, release 10. I'm trying to get Samba
up and running. It seems to install okay using smitty, at least all the
directories appear with the various samba files in them. Though no smb.conf
is created. I thought a default one would be created? I'm coming from a
