Current status of OS/2 eCS client to Samba 3.0.20b
Subject pretty much askes it all. For those that run OS/2 eCS against Samba servers on a regular basis... looks like I might have to head back in that direction. I am trying to avoid NetBIOS which
means the usual SrvIFS I would prefer to have go bye bye once and for all. I did get SrvIFS-IP from the "Beyond DHCP" RedBook yesterday, but is has memory corruption on the server daemon side

OS2 - Samba
Hi there,
I tried to connect OS2 Warp 4 to Samba server. The network used to be NT 4.0 Domain, then migrated to Samba to become Domain Controller. I've followed below instruction, and still can't login to the domain. I can get an IP address and ping the Samba server, but can't login to domain and map any network share.

Asterisk 1.2.14 - Chanspy, sound issues.
I upgraded my Asterisk system to version 1.2.14 to check if the sound
quality issues I was having with Chanspy in 1.2.7 remained. I'm still
getting them, and I'm honestly out of ideas except from RTFS.
The called party sounds normally fine, but it's impossible to hear the
caller. Sometimes, when the called party is talking, the caller can also
be heard. The conversation sounds broken,

Manager Originate Action and Cancel
I'm using the Originate Action on the Asterisk Manager to place calls
between two extensions in async mode.
Is there any way to cancel the Originate Action before I get the
OriginateResponse action? I'm unable to perform a Hangup because I can't
know the channel name before I get the response...
thanks in advance!

Dir ec* returns dir name starting with letters EA... come again!?
I take it that this is a bug, maybe related to the fun of Samba and XFS getting along I do not know. And I am back level on Samba awaiting the new .deb's. Anyway, with that disclamer...

I cannot find information what version of binutils supports AVX/AVX2/FMA
instructions, but IIRC OS/2 doesn't support AVX

What NetBIOS name for SAMBA BDC
I have a Samba PDC working fine (NetBios name FI0X07) and I'm trying setting up
a Samba BDC but I can't have it working!!
The problem is:
- if a set the BDC NetBIOS name the same as PDC, if I shut down the PDC the BDC
works but if the PDC is restarted the BDC doesn't stop autenticating users.
- if a set the BDC NetBIOS name different if I stop the PDC the BDC doesn't
authenticate

PTX generation from CUDA file for compute capability 1.0 (sm_10)
Hello Bergström/Eric,
Thanks for the reply. The G80(sm_10) architecture was ported on FPGA by a
group of researchers (http://www.ecs.umass.edu/ece/tessier/andryc-fpt13.pdf).
Our group have some further research interest on this work. I was working
on modifying the Clang-LLVM for a couple of months and achieved the
required changes. But Clang-LLVM is only allowing me to generate PTX for

Mac OS X (Samba 2.2.3a) and Samba 3.0.1 Domain
Hi,
I'm having problems connecting from a Mac OS X (v10.2) box to a Linux (Red Hat
9, kernel 2.4.23) box running Samba as a PDC. The Mac OS box is running Samba
2.2.3a (build 26), the Linux box running Samba 3.0.1.
The problem seems to be the following: (this is a level 4 log, I think)

Asterisk Questions
hi everyone!
Two days ago we installed asterisk in our labs to do some testing and
try the product with a couple of ITGs. Overall, we really loved it! We
found it easy to configure and manage, and with good debugging options.
There are a couple of questions I would like to ask:
a) We had some authentication issues trying to register a Planet ITG
with asterisk. Apparently, asterisk ignored

re: how to set the voice message as
Hi there,
Sorry for the late reply. I had too many emails in my mailbox to clean up.
Anyway, I found out the problem is the sendmail in Linux did not work and
the voicemail.conf in our asterisk is ok. There is another issue for email
notification: some email servers rejects the email from asterisk. My
engineer added Asterisk IP into the DNS to slove the email rejection issue.
Thanks for

A bit OT: LDAP and AD interoperability with LDAP as master
Hi all,
First, sorry for posting this mail in a Samba-list, I first posted it to
ldap@umich.edu which should be a general LDAP discussion list and also to
OpenLDAP mailinglist. So far I didn't got a single reply in any of those
lists but that's probably because this issue is much more AD-related than
plain LDAP. And we know that beside MS the Samba developers know most
about AD :-) So
