Delayed Write failures with Windows XP
We have users who have their desktop folders on a Samba share. Some of them have been getting "Delayed Write Failure" messages recently on the "cookies/index.dat" file. At first I thought it was a fluke related to a network outage we experienced, but now I'm finding out it had been happening previously. This is Samba 2.2.5 on SuSE Linux SLES7 on S/390. Intermittent <MRxSMB; W50:> "Delayed Write Failed" when writing to Office 2007's "Recent Files" index.dat on a network share

That's both annoying and

There are many suggestions as to the cause of this problem, but no working solutions that I've been able to find. I've already invested two weeks on this problem. I was running Samba 3.0.7 under Mandrake for the last year, and this problem was not present. Because Mandrake had other

[SPARC]: leon2 and leon3: not respecting delayed-write to Y-register
Hi, in section B.29. (Write State Register Instructions) of 'The SPARC Architecture Manual Version 8' it is said that the "The write state register instructions are delayed-write instructions." The Y-register is a state-register. Furthermore in the B.29-secion there is a programming note saying: MULScc, RDY, SDIV, SDIVcc, UDIV, and UDIVcc implicitly read the Y register.

PDB files and "Delayed Write Failed"
Hello Samba Community, I have what is probably a very unique problem. Allow me to explain: Background: We build software for Windows, among other things. Most of our developers are not on Windows, but they need to do Windows builds. To facilitate this, we've set up a complex build system where calling "make" automatically connects (rsh/ssh) to a cmd shell on the Windows build
