Samba 2.0.5a & Solaris 2.6 Assistance
I just brought up samba 2.0.5a in a Solaris 2.6 environment. Smooth effort with no visible problems in CVS download, configuration, and make but attempts to reference data after connection yield this error. Has anyone seen this before and can point me in the right direction to to address? Thanks Andy [1999/07/31 15:14:30, 1] smbd/service.c:make_connection(521) agibson (209.31.144.167) connect

dovcot+offlineimap+gmail: INBOX empty, mail doubled

Yesterday we switched to google, which I know, is not a real imap server. I have 2 problems and the first I think has to do with either an old version of offlineimap or a bad configuration file: - All folders are downloaded+ Gmail[All Mail] so doubling

Weird samba problems / more info
I have a level 10 debug of the smbd/oplock process_local_message problem but can still not figure out what causes the unknown UDP message command code. I checked the source but could only see that this is an invalid opcode command. Anyone a clue what is happening here ? Might wrong opcode commands crash samba ? test regression against given slope for reduced major axis regression (RMA)
Hi, for testing if the slope of experimental data differs from a given slope I'm using the function "test_regression_against_slope" (see below). I am now confronted with the problem that I have data which requires a modelII regression (also called reduced major axes regression (RMA) or geometric mean regression). For this I use the function "modelII" (see below). What

Question concerning iptables and the example at tinc's homepage
Hi all, hi Guus, in july 2004 i received an e-mail from you concerning the way a packet takes across a (tinc)vpn: > They are forwarded from eth0 to tap0, but the kernel doesn't know that > tinc is forwarding them from tap0 to ippp0. So, the UDP and TCP > packets that tinc sends will be seen by the OUTPUT chain instead of > the FORWARD chain. At the other end, the received UDP

autoscaling plot font size in Sweave output possible?
Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to have fonts in plots to be autoscaled to the same font size used by LaTeX in a surrounding Sweave document. Here's a short example in which the fonts of the first plot are barely readable: --8<------------------------schnipp------------------------->8--- \documentclass{article} \usepackage{graphicx} \newcommand{\mytext}{Some normal sized

Samba not "seen" as logon server / PDC anymore...
Dear all, since yesterday our samba PDC did "loose" his master status within our LAN for the domain "SRG" - since then windows boxes did not "see" the logon server anymore. nmblookup -T -M SRG is reporting some of the windows machines (one box running since more then a year...). - net rpc join -S SRG -U root (on the PDC works) - net rpc join -S

Ann: ArEvents
Hi, I needed to be able to add actions to be taken during the lifecycle of ActiveRecord object, but needed to configure it dynamically. Observers were not flexible enough and I ended up developing ArEvents, which lets you easily attach and detach event listeners, the events correspond to the active record callbacks. If you have an existing model, just include the ArEvents module:
