I was reading the latest "how to" samba project doc. (5/2/03) and noticed that "winbind" is only supported on linux, solaris and irix. is this true? What about AIX? please advice..... thanks. lc

dear all, we try to compile Samba with the option (-with-ldapsam). When we launch build-samba.depot.sh. The first step goes without any problem but when the program launch the Makefile, it gives an error saying that the program can't fin any library ldap. I have similar problem. However, I have noticed that without applying the sp3 on either NT4 workstation or Server. It seems to work fine. As soon as sp3 is applied the samba does not work. We are currently having a problem with our PDC restarting due to a bug check about 2-3 times a month. How are you verifying? Have you tried using top and looking for smbd and nmbd? Swat may be giving you erroneous info if that is what you are using to verify.
