I know it's a weird idea, but I don't like the fact that W2K shares c$, d$, RPC$, etc. With Cygwin, I didn't get past configure, it complained that locking was unavaliable and bombed out. I now have a machine configured as a domain controller authenticating all windows users via openLDAP. openLDAP is also authenticating all of our linux users.
