I have got an old pentium back. It is an Intel 66Mhz processor, 16MB RAM and a 2 gigabyte harddrive. Could it be used as a dedicated samba server and what Linux disto would work well? I was thinking of Debian 3 or Slackware. Can samba act as a 2000 PDC?

Dear Samba members, I am wondering if on joining a realm (with security=ADS), samba 3.x server gets automatically registered with MS Dynamic DNS server. Can someone point me to instructions on how to build a pxeboot/initrd.img with updated drivers. I would like to pxe boot and install rh8 on a newer machine, and the pxeboot files that come with rh8 (2.4.20-8) don't support my e1000 NIC.
