Hi people, sorry for the previous HTML stuff, I hope this time it's plain text. Here's my problem: I'm not sure if this is a samba/solaris problem or a Win98 problem and I'll tell you why. I have a Solaris 8 server running samba 2.2.2, a linux/samba 2.0.7 box and a couple Win 98 boxes. When I did a complete restore of my Win98 box from tape, I could no longer access the Solaris

Solaris 8 smb problem
I'm not sure if this is a samba/solaris problem or a Win98 problem and I'll tell you why. I have a Solaris 8 server runing samba 2.2.2, a linux/samba 2.0.7 box and a couple Win 98 boxes. When I did a complete restore of my Win98 box from tape, I could no longer access the Solaris 8 server via network neighbourhood. I can see the Solaris/samba box there with the other Win98 and linux box

almost printing
Ok, I've managed to print to my HPDeskjet 694c attached to a Solaris 8 box running samba 2.2.2 from Win98. Problem is with the left margin, there are these little lines (garbage) running down the 1st column on the left side of the page. Also, when I print a page from Word 97, the whole page doesn't print (about 95% of it) and starts a little too far down the page. Printing was perfect

save a regression model that can be used later
Hi everyone I have a question about how to save a regression model in R and how to retrieve it for making predictions in a new session. To be more specific, I fitted a multilevel logistic regression model using the lmer from the "lme4" package. I then successfully make predictions using fitted(mymodel). Since data are complex (three levels, nested, numerous categorical and

Enforcing local profile doesn't let Home Directory mapping
Dear all, I am using Ubuntu 8.04 Server 64-bit edition and I am trying to enforce Local profile for all users and below is my smb.conf file. According to the samba documentation, leaving the logon home and logon path values to empty will enforce local profiles, it worked. But, my main requirement is when users login their home directories are mapped and they appear in My Computer window so they

Icecast not listening ports?
Hey guys, First time using a mailing list, hopefully I've done it correctly. I've installed Icecast, and configured ports 8008 and 8009 in my icecast.xml file and started the server with icecast -b -c /etc/icecast.xml Icecast then loads and I can see the process in the command 'top' However, I can't access it with my domain URL, I have Shoutcast setup on this server on

Problem with japanese programs
Hello. I have a tiny problem. I am running Character Maker (a japanese painting program aimed mainly for RPG Maker and the like). Now on Windows, it used the default system font, but when I run it under Wine it uses an ugly handwriting font. Is there a way to fix this problem? It also happens with several programs which were originally in japanese (such as Melody Raiser [from the same author] and

x[x$a=="q",,drop=TRUE]
I'm trying to select a subset of a dataframe while dropping some factors. While the dataset gets smaller all Factor levels remain and I need to get rid of them. Strangely enough, I am almost certain that the same code on the same data worked OK earlier today - and it is not the first time that I'm not able to replicate earlier results with this command (I know, I might just be going

Questions about vscale
Hi, Looking at the language reference, vscale is an integer. This might pose a problem for fractional vscale. Furthermore, I believe that vscale is constant throughout the life of the program; so if RISC-V vscale can vary from instruction to instruction that may also be problematic unless you can just commit to one specific value of vscale. Also, I had a question about your table. Based

Or in other words, in the vectoriser, who's producing the %mask and %evl that is consumed by the VP intrinsics? I'm not sure what would be the best way here. I think about the Loop Vectorizer. [RISCV][PIC] Lowering pseudo instructions in MCCodeEmitter vs AsmPrinter
H all, I'm looking at generating PIC code for RISC-V in the context of Linux. Not sure if anyone is working on this already, any inputs are very welcome. I'm now looking at function calls which in the RISCV backend are represented via two pseudoinstructions RISCV::TAIL and RISCV::CALL. Currently those pseudos are lowered in MCCodeEmitter. They are expanded into AUIPC and JALR
