Setting the smb.conf parameter "time server = yes" will cause Samba to advertise itself as a time server in the browse list through nmbd. When I change nsswitch.conf to say passwd: files winbind group: files winbind I can make the server work serving out smb shares to W2k domain users, but then I can't logon using local accounts. I've installed it, added the user `CSMSRV-HEAD$' to both linux and also, using 'samedit' to TNG. This is the name of my HEAD samba server running.
