SSL CA cert error from smbclient (solved)
Looks like this question was indeed solved prior (finally found the searchable archive). Solution is to add ssl CA certDir=/usr/share/ssl/certs to the smb.conf file (or appearently any other directory for that matter). Jamin W. setting up printers with Samba and Windows NT workstation
Hello all. I'm a samba newbie given the task of setting up samba to act as a print server for 5 HP laser printers ranging from the LaserJet 4MV to the LaserJet 8150N. I've done a search of the samba mailing list archives to see if my problem has already been addressed, but I have been unable to find anything that refers to the same error I'm receiving. I am using SWAT to administer

Samba newbie problems
Hi I have recently installed samba on a RH7.0 box. This box has win98 + linux rh7 installed and both os's are running well. The F drive on windows is FAT32 and is mounted r/w on linux RH7. Works fine. I also have a Win98se machine that needs to have full read/write access to some partitions on the RH7 box. Samba was found ideal for such setup. The problem I have is that I can't write to

Classful Queuing
OK, I''m stumped. I''ve read through most of the LARTC HOWTO and have yet to find a basis for what I need to accomplish. I have a Linux box that controls access to and from the Internet at my workplace. We have a number of remote employees that connect via PPTP and IPSEC to the office''s internal network. Some of these remote employees are currently using SIP phones.

FXO line hum w/ Z-plex 10
I've recently begun integrating an Asterisk system into my house. I purchased the Dev Kit a year or two ago when Digium was selling it as a Z-plex 10 channel bank with the T100P. I've recently found that when I connect the serial monitoring port to my system it introduces a noticable hum on my incoming FXO lines. Anyone know (or have suggestions about) how to prevent this? -- Jamin

Initiating a transfer from an analog handset?
Is there a way to initiate a transfer using an analog handset? For instance I'm looking for a way to do something like the following: External call comes in and is answered by user A. After talking to the caller they determine that the caller really needs to speak to user B. Is there any way for user A to initiate a transfer to user B, using only their analog handset? Now to make

Borland C++-5.5 (free) compiler does not install(?)
Hello! I'm trying to install Borland C++ 5.5 free compiler into my RH7 Linux box but I can't get it to work. Running the installer brings a blank dialog with "Prev", "Next" and "Cancel" buttons but nothing more.. and pressing the buttons doesn't do anything and the dialog doesn't close. I waited for more than 15 minutes (I read it in FAQ

when RedHat makes patches for only some versions
I guess this is really a RedHat, not CentOS question, but I?m hoping that someone here will be familiar enough with the upstream policy to have some useful information. How does RedHat decide which versions to release patches for, e.g. https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2015-7613 <https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2015-7613> which has only a RH7 erratum, not 6? RPM of R-1.2.1 for RH 7?
There does not seem to be a RPM for Red Hat 7 of version 1.2.1. What should I do? I have a new computer with RH7. I''m willing to try to make one from the SRPM, but I''ve never done that before, and I don''t want to go to the trouble if someone else is already planning to do it soon. Likewise, I could install it from the tgz file. (I just did that on a Solaris server,
