R_eval in tcltk library
Is there a method with the current tcltk library in R to call back an R
function within the .Tcl("...") interpreter?
I can't find anything documented, and I don't understand the usefulness of
the .Tcl.callback() function. Browsing through the tcltk source code I found
two functions R_eval and R_call that seem to take input from the .Tcl
interpreter and parse them through the R

[LLVMdev] Fw: Forcing the Interpreter segfaults
Hi Salomon, please don't forget to reply to the list too (I've CC'd the list).
> I don't think my code is doing anything worng...
No, it looks fine to me, and the interpreter certainly supports this. That
suggests that the value of %str is not being transmitted to the function right.
If it is getting the wrong pointer value, that would explain why it barfs.

Duncan.

[LLVMdev] Forcing the Interpreter segfaults
Hi everyone !
I am very new to LLVM and intent to use it in a research project.
I have a problem with the interpreter: I have a simple compiler that
generates LLVM bitcode, JIT it and execute it, and it works very well.
Now I would like to execute it using the interpreter. And I get a segfault.
Here is the code :
// This code JIT the function and executes it
llvm::InitializeNativeTarget();

[LLVMdev] FunctionType as a function argument
You need a pointer-to-function type, but FunctionType just gives you a
function type. Use PointerType::getUnqual(FunctionType::get(...)). Or
TypeBuilder<char (*func)(void*), false>::get(context) from
Support/TypeBuilder.h.

[LLVMdev] Forcing the Interpreter segfaults
In my case, I am working on a posix regular expression library that uses
LLVM to execute a regular expression.
Each regular expression is a very small sets of code and is faster to
interpret than to JIT then execute.
I wanted to JIT only when the regular expression is executed more than 20
times.
The benchmarks I have run show that my library is amzingly fast to execute a
regular expression

[LLVMdev] FunctionType as a function argument
Hi all.
I would like to declare a function that takes a function pointer as an
argument.
In C, it would be :
void execute(char (*func)(void*), void *param)
So, in my compiler, I have :
std::vector<const Type *> cbFPtrArgs(1, Type::getInt8PtrTy(C));
FunctionType * cbFPtrTy = FunctionType::get(Type::getInt8Ty(C), cbFPtrArgs,
false);
Function * func =

I had an open session working in R and I regularly save the image with
save.image(). However, after a period of inactivity of a few days. I quit
the session. Now, when I try to restart R and load the same image I get the
following result:

watch out for quotes in data files
I have just spent a day trying to determine why I seemed to be unable
to read a file of microarray expression results into R properly. The
file was produced by the Dchip software developed by Li and Wong at
Harvard's Department of Biostatistics. It contains rows of
tab-delimited fields in the order

Probe set description

Aggregate with non-scalar function
R-Helpers,
I'm sorry to have to ask this -- I've not used R very much in the last
8 or 10 months, and I've gotten rusty.
I have the following (ff2 is a subset of a much, much larger dataset):

Samb and Ldap groups
Hi,
After some carefully editing of pdb_ldap.c I have managed to get a list of groups from the LDAP directory if you are root or anyother user. :-)
The problem now is if you run the command (from win2k) net group it /domain (where 'it' is the group name) or try to open a group in user manager you do not get any listing of uers in that group. The error in windows is "Group name

samb 3 with the old shema samba and the root samba
hi,
I update my samba PDC from the 2 release to the 3 one and let my old
ldap release with the old shema (so using ldapsam_compat ).
All seem work fine (users can connect from windows in the domaine ) but
the root samba (uidnumber=0) which name is manager couldn't login, so i
can't integrate windows workstation in the domaine. I create another one
with uid= root but no good result.

getting started with SAMB - I think
I have NT 4.0 , Solaris x86 2.5 , and RedHat Linux 5.0 on
my work computer.
The Building uses NT 4.0 as its network. about 3000 users
I want to just to be able to use NT 4.0 printers from unix, and
also, but
I don't think it's possible, hook up with MicroSoft Exchange
Server
to get to my E-Mail from UNIX.
I can use Netscape from both UNIX'es above.

100FDX, extern RAID 5 Tower . Performance is really very, very BAD. I
tried already everything, but this IBM box with samba is just very SLOW.
