Is cvsweb broken?
I have been trying to access the samba cvsweb webpage all morning
and keep getting an internal server error. I was curious as to whether
anyone else was getting an error as well. Here is the entire text of the
message that appears:

FreeBSD.org begins switch to Subversion
The FreeBSD Project has begun the switch of its source code management
system from CVS to Subversion. At this point in time, FreeBSD's
developers are making changes to the base system in the Subversion
repository. There is a replication system in place that exports our
work to the legacy CVS tree on a continuous basis.
People who are using our extensive CVS based distribution network

ip address of samba.org has changed
samba.org has moved and has a new IP address. You may find that some
services are inaccessible until your local name server fetches the
updated records. That should happen fairlly quickly, but please be
patient.
This affects the machines samba.org, cvs.samba.org and all email.
The machine is now located in the Linuxcare offices in Canberra,
Australia. It was located at the Australian National

Problem with geeglm
event.nab.2 is 0/1 and I dichotomized va to get va.2 to see if I could
get geeglm to work. glm has no problem with the data but geeglm chokes.
Each subject (patient.id) has at most 2 observations and more than 3/4
of the subjects have 2 observations. I have even worse problems trying
to use glmmPQL from MASS and worse still trying to use lmer from lme4.
But I figured a marginal model would work.

librsync [Solved]
I found the cvs repository at =
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/librsync/librsync/
The sourceforge project was just setup a couple of days ago. That must have =
been why google could not find it yesterday.
I believe the samba cvs site for librsync is now deprecated.
The 0.9.5.1 version I was looking for looks to me to be a Jun. 27 cvs snapshot =
from wherever cvs was at that

lme vs. SAS proc mixed. Point estimates and SEs are the same, DFs are different
R 2.3
Windows XP
I am trying to understand lme. My aim is to run a random effects regression in which the intercept and jweek are random effects. I am comparing output from SAS PROC MIXED with output from R. The point estimates and the SEs are the same, however the DFs and the p values are different. I am clearly doing something wrong in my R code. I would appreciate any suggestions of how I can

Yum / Up2date issues and mirror.centos.org
There have been some complaints recently concerning this, so I thought
an explanation of the setup AND recommendations are in order.
First, I want to say that we need more donated servers with fast (at
least 100mbit) internet connections. If you are making lots of money
using CentOS and are a hosting provider, please consider providing us a
donated server so we can better distribute CentOS.

voip-info.org unreliable lately?
Anyone have any insight as to why voip-info.org has been up and down all
day, and more importantly unreliable for the last month?
I assume the bandwidth is being donated or something, but surely someone
would be willing to donate reliable bandwidth as the knowledge hosted on
the site (which is also donated!) is worth way more than the bandwidth.
There is no doubt it is the best

Loop and Solver with Black/Scholes-Formula
Hello,
for my diploma thesis I need to program a solver for Merton?s respectively
Black?s and Scholes? Option pricing formula, which should be achieved for
several dates.
What I want to do is to estimate the value of a firm?s assets "vA" (x[2]
denotes vA) and the option-implied volatility of firm?s assets "sigA" (x[1]
denotes sigA) by solving it simultaneous using the Black

vtun -- no IPv6 support?
Reading many comments about vtun available through google searchs seems
to imply it supports IPv6.
When I install it (v 3.0.2-1) and bind it to an interface that does NOT
have IPv4 defined (only v6), start the service, and do a 'netstat
-nat|grep 5000', I see it bound to 0.0.0.0:5000, not to the IPv6 0::/128
equiv address.
What gives? IPv6 support or not?
Meanwhile I found the kame

librsync ??
All,
Does anyone know anything about librsync, and where it is currently maintained =
on the web?
It apparently is/was a samba project, but I'm not sure how it relates.
The authors are listed as:
Martin Pool <mbp@samba.org>
Andrew Tridgell <tridge@samba.org>
but I suspect someone else did the 0.9.5.1 update, because only 0.9.5 is =
available on the rproxy site

Solved & Thanks: Multiple Win95 usernames...
The other day I asked how to solve the problem where my NT domain username
is <PHILIPH> and my samba username is <philip>. Several replied
indicating the "username map" option in smb.conf (can't believe I missed
it). Anyway, by adding the following line to smb.conf:
usrname map = /path/to/username.map.file
and then adding the following line to the above referenced
