I''ve installed SXDE (snv_89) and found that the web console only listens on https://localhost:6789/ now, and the module for ZFS admin doesn''t work. When I open the link, the left frame lists a stacktrace (below) and the right frame is plain empty. Any suggestions? Is there any "fake UPS" driver (and Solaris 10+ integration)?
Hello all, I am a long-time user of NUT (since last millennium, or so it seems) and beside Linux where I've started, I also integrated it with our Solaris 8 and 9 servers' shutdown procedures - avoiding the possible "hole" when the line power returns right at the bad moment when UPSes and systems are already told to power off. In this case, they see no event like "I am

Windows 3.1 and Samba
Has anybody got some experience with connecting machines running Windows3.1 or WfWG (3.11) to Samba? We would like to run a small lab network with user accounts and a shared printer off the samba box. Samba is running fine and there's no problem to connect to it from the Win95/WinNT machines... puppet 3.0.0 and hiera
Hi, If I have understood it correctly, puppet 3.0.0 will include / require hiera. In order to add support for hiera directly in Geppetto I downloaded the puppet 3.0.0rc tarball expecting to find the puppet-hiera functions, but they where not there. What is the expected packaging going to be when 3.0.0 is released? Where should I expect the hiera "parser functions" to be located?

A problem of etiquette
Perhaps, the question is silly. But, I prefer asking it before making a mistake. I have just packed a binary distribution of R for Windows3.1/Win32s. It is equivalent to the previous one for Win95/NT (R-0.61.3 + many of the available packages) and it is compiled with egcs-mingw32 (GPL not a commercial compiler). Now, in preparing the README, I put the following sentence:

dovecot replacing uw-imap
Hey, I'm trying to sort out how to make dovecot replace uw-imap cleanly. But I have the following problems/questions: 1. Why is mbox support limited to user-owned directories? 2. Would it be possible to have dovecot target a different place than ~user/mail by default, specfically some place like /var/path/to/maildirs/userdir/ I'd like to move all my mail storage out of user homedirs and

I have recently been trying to install RCT2 on my Mac (OSX 10.5). I have attempted both Wine (1.3.9) and CrossOver, both of which hit the same error when I attempt to run the game: "The program rct2.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close." I ran RTC2 in wine using command line and it spit out the following information: Code: err:module:find_forwarded_export

[PATCH] Regression test portabilization.
Hi All. Attached is a patch (against OpenSSH Portable -current) to portablize the regression tests. It will also apply to OpenBSD's (with a couple of rejects). They are based on work by Roumen Petrov and myself, with contributions from Corinna Vinschen and David M Williams. My goal is to have the tests work out of the box on as many of our supported platforms as possible so running the

[LLVMdev] Linux-x86 Compatability
ISSUE: In Interpreter::getCurrentExecutablePath(), dladdr() is a Solarisism. Luckily, getCurrentExecutablePath isn't being currently used anywhere in lli. ACTION: Wrap the method contents with #ifdef __sun__ ... #else return ""; #endif. If this functionality is actually desired, it would be more portable to hack up main() to join getcwd() with basename(argv[0]) to find the
