Durbin-Watson
Hi, I ran an experiment with 3 factors, 2 levels and 200 replications and as I want to test for residuals independence, I used Durbin-Watson in R. I found two functions (durbin.watson and dwtest) and while both are giving the same rho, the p-values are greatly differ: > durbin.watson(mod1) lag Autocorrelation D-W Statistic p-value 1 -0.04431012 2.088610 0.012 Alternative

Rearchitect the new :cache feature of javascript_include_tag, similar to ToolbawksPacker
I have done some work with the javascript and stylesheet helpers for ToolbawksPacker.. http://svn.toolbawks.com/toolbawks_packer/trunk/ Which more/less takes all executed javascript_include_tags and stylesheet_link_tag on any converged view (combines all partials and such) and builds a list of js and css files respectively and uses that to form a cache. In additon, it also minifies the JS using

Durbin-Watson test in packages "car" and "lmtest"
Hi, P-values in Durbin-Watson test obtained through the use of functions available in packages "lmtest" and "car" are different. The difference is quite significant. function "dwtest" in "lmtest" is much faster than "burbinwatson" in "car". Actually, you can take a nap while the latter trying to calculated Durbin-Watson test. My question

Problems with Durbin Watson and Partial Residual Plots
I am trying to evaluate a model by using the commands durbin.watson and cr.plot. However, I keep getting errors that I can't figure out. A description follows. Does anyone have a hint as to what may be wrong? 1)The Durbin Watson Test. In running the command I kept getting the message "residuals include missing values" when actually this was NOT the case. Example:

Hi, I need some help understanding the output from PAM. When I look at the output it doesn't list the cluster number by the median vlaues on each of the variables (like it does with k-means) Instead I have the following: So I know for instance cluster 1 has a mean for variable1 of 33.33, however when I run PAM i get: variable 1 variable2 29 32 12 97 12

Login_engine - auth against email rather that username?
Hi all, Short of hacking the code apart, is there a method making the login_engine authenticate against email address rather than username? I find that people rarely remember usernames, and would prefer to use email addresses as the identifier. Thanks! Tom

Fwd: Newbie q: decoupling vorbis from ogg
From: Nathaniel Gray <n8gray@gmail.com> Date: Sep 14, 2005 11:30 AM Subject: Newbie q: decoupling vorbis from ogg To: vorbis-dev@lists.xiph.org Hi, Sorry if this is a newbie question. I'm trying to write an OS X AudioCodec for Vorbis using libvorbis. I'm confused about the libvorbis dependency on libogg. I thought the vorbis spec didn't require ogg as the container, but the

Rails 1.1.2: A tiny fix for gem dependencies
The new gem version dependency system from Rails 1.1.1 needed a few tweaks to work properly and to stop throwing meaningless warnings. This tiny release makes up for that. To install: * gem install rails * rake rails:update:configs (to get the latest config/boot.rb) This release also signals our new commitment to do more tiny releases from the stable branch, which only gets bug fixes. So it will

Lighttpd Restart Script
After quite a bit of searching and coding, I customized an init.d/bash script which allows me to manage multiple instances of Lighttpd server running Rails. It targets the specific PID address instead of the default binary location when starting and stopping /usr/local/bin/lighttpd process. This provides the ability in my case to have multiple lighttpd.conf files running many different instances

hi, i see the same error message with samba 3.0.14a and OpenLDAP 2.2.23 (Debian Packages) with Master/Slave setup. i did not set up a referral to the master, so why does samba get a referral when attempting to write to a slave? is this an in-build samba feature? do i have to enable referrals to get this to work properly? any advise is appreciated! thx! micha Zwonarz Ivo wrote: > We use
