System error 64 occurred
Dear all, I am using Samba 3.0.20b on REdHat 7.2 and + OpenLDAP 2.2.X on another RedHat 7.3 When I try to connect to Samba from XP, it always returns "System error 64 occurred. ham,Re: samba PDC upgrade from 3.2.5 to 3.4.7
Hi John. It worked well just before the upgrade. I'm not saying that this is correct, but is the reason why users aren't accessing? Also, should'n this give some specific error in the logs? Tks in advance. John H Terpstra wrote: > On 03/23/2010 02:35 PM, Leonardo Carneiro - Veltrac wrote: > >> Hi Dale and others. I had already checked the release notes. Only users

Is 'force user/group' misbehaving?
Hello list, I'm running ubuntu server 7.10 amd64 and trying to set up a samba server for a LAN. Samba version is 3.0.26a IIRC (I can't access the machine ATM) I'm stumped with a problem and I believe it's related, somehow, with the 'force user' parameter, so I created this testcase to seek for help... In the example smb.conf I'm trying to create one share accessible

OpenSSH (CVS) performance observations
Hi! I have experimented a bit with the latest OpenSSH from the CVS archive. I could realize some connections succesfully, but I experienced performance problem during the connection phase. It seems, that the client needs quite some computer time just after debug: Got SSH2_MSG_KEX_DH_GEX_GROUP. By inserting test-printouts, I verifyed that the dh_gen_key(dh); call seems to take that long. On a HP

Hi all, i was using bdrb a while ago and it wasn''t stable enough in version 0.2.1 for doing the job - it loss jobs or did execute only the first one invoked and so on. Now i gave the new version a try and i found a bug at playing around. When i start a worker_method over the normal Unix scheduler bdrb will start as much as possible the worker_method after the :end-time is reached.

Searching html help in 1.30
In a previous post I noted a problem using the html help search in R 1.3 using Windows 98. Further experimentation shows that search works fine in Internet Explorer, but won't work in Netscape 4.7. When I attempt to search in Netscape I just get a blink of the screen and then nothing. I've noticed occasional problems in 4.7's interface with other Java programs so this may be a

error installing package in linux R
I've been using R on windows for a number of years, so when I recently installed Linux I wanted to install R as well. Downloading and installing the rpm's for R-Base and R-recommended went well and I seem to have a functioning R. I then downloaded the quadreg package and used R CMD INSTALL to install it. All went well up to a message: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lreadline which stopped
