Help for using nnet in R for NN training and testing
Hello, I want to use nnet package in R, to train and simulate a NN and get the value of MSE. I am reading in a file which has 19 input variables and one output variable and has a total of 2000 observations. The first column in the file is a column just for giving the serial numbers of the observations. I have already read in the file and also extracted the different values into the matrices to

RWeka and Back Propagation NN
Hello, I have a trained Back Propagation Neural Network model in weka. I would like to re-evaluate the NN using R with a given input. How can I do this? I could not find an example of RWeca that applies to NN Thanks, Rui

k-NN routines
Hello All, I would like to use R for k-NN (nearest neighbor) clustering for pattern recognition. However, I don't see it. I don't think 'hclust' or 'kmeans' are what I am looking for. How to get ``nn%'' in axis values
I would like to make the print format of the axis value labels appear as ``nn%'' instead of just the numbers. Is there a way to do this? Also, the x axis value labels on my horizontal barplot are rotated 90 degrees (perpendicular to the axis) no matter what I do. I tried las=1 but that didn't work. Is this doable? Thanks. $platform [1] "i686-pc-linux-gnu" $arch [1]

Samba not visible in NN with File and Print Services installed on W9x
Hi, maybe I missed a recent "FDP" (Frequently described problem)in the list, but maybe somebody can point me to the right direction. There were several postings about not seeing Samba but none referred the the MS "File and Print Services" on W9x clients being the cause of the trouble (Hope this is the correct translation from German W9x). I've got a Samba 2.0.5a with Suse

k-nn hierarchical clustering
Hi there, is there any R-function for k-nearest neighbour agglomerative hierarchical clustering? By this I mean standard agglomerative hierarchical clustering as in hclust or agnes, but with the k-nearest neighbour distance between clusters used on the higher levels where there are at least k>1 distances between two clusters (single linkage is 1-nearest neighbour clustering)? Best regards,

Network Neighborhood Crazyness Idea
Just an idea... We all know that NN under Windows is at best non predictable and totally impossible to use since many times machines are not showing themselves and so on.... We all know also that Samba is never the problem with that, it's just the M$ protocol. So my idea: if some clever Window$ programmer makes an app that is just doing the same: You launch the app you have the list of

Proposal: Version-specific centos-release-xen-NN packages
Thank you for those who raised the issue of upgrading across potentially disruptive major versions (like the Xen 4.4 -> 4.6 update), and for everyone who weighed in. After discussing options with users here on this list (as well as in the IRC channel), further discussing things in the Virt SIG IRC meeting, and also raising the issue with other SIGs on the centos-devel list, here are my

Samba & Network Neighborhood
Hello! I am puzzled here - I have two Samba systems ; one on each different network that I am working with. One of them allows local Windoze 95 machines to view the server via network Neighborhood; the other does not. In both networks, I am able to mount shares. I have checked options; as many as I could think of, but no luck. I am stumped. Both of them are configured as NT domain

computer not showing up in Network Neighborhood
Hi, Has anyone had this problem with Samba? I have been having trouble getting my Samba server to show up in my Network Neighborhood list. It is in the right workgroup, and when I do a search for computer, it is found. Yet, it never shows up in my NN list. Can someone give me some advice on how to make this work? Thanks, Ken

stuck on retransmit
Hi, I have set up the latest code * server, and I'm having problems with the sip phone. I'm using the budgetone. I can receive calls just fine. When I try to place outgoing calls, I can see that the rules get followed fine. But once it dials the analog interface (X100P), it starts retransmitting packets in chan_sip.c:retrans_pkt() any ideaas why this would be? thanks TJ

Samba DMB "loses" machines in the Network Neighborhood
I have a long running problem with my configuration of Samba as a domain master browser. After nmbd comes up, all the machines on the network are viewable in the Network Neighborhood as they should be. But about half an hour later, Samba seems to lose track of several machines; they no longer appear in NN or /var/cache/samba/browse.dat. I recently upgraded to a packaged version 3.0.20b (for

Please help! Urgent, STRANGE Win95 browsing problem!
Hi, I sent an e-mail earlier about our strange Windows 95 browsing problem. Then, I upgraded to samba-2.0.2 from 1.9.17p4, but the problem is still there. I do need urgent help because almost all of our network connection does not work and our users do it for their research. Please help! Please, please! Let me repeat this strange problem: We have four UNIX machines, a Linux (Slackware 3.3,

No network neighborhood
Recently, we made a switch from 1.9.18 to 2.0.3. Under 1.9.18, we had local master turned off to prevent a browser election war. However, under some network configurations, (where the system was alone on a Workgroup), the system would, quite appropriately, not appear in the network neighborhood. So for 2.0.3 we changed the config file to allow election participation (local master = yes).

flakey things samba 2.2.2
HELP! I have an hpux 11.11 server running samba 2.2.2. It appears as if i get to a point with say 20 connections and then no one else can connect until someone disconnects. I have other clients who get network path cannot be found when trying to map but they are able to see the samba server via network neighborhood. When trying to map via net use it returns a message saying something of the
