The credentials supplied conflict with .....
Hi, I recently tried to connect to a samba share as my user name, and then disconnected the share to try and reconnect as root. I got the message "The credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials". Someone recently mentionned that this was a security feature on the NT side. Well, seems Microsoft is claiming this is actually a bug. Found the following article in

Letter case not preserved
All files transferred to my Samba server end up with lower case on the Unix box. Case is not preserved from NT to Unix. For example, if I copy C:\Temp\MyFile to a directory on the Samba server, it ends up there as myfile. What am I missing? I browsed the FAQ's in the web pages, without success... Sharing printers via NT
Currently, I am attempting to share out my printers using Samba 1.9.18p10 on hp735 (hpux version 10). I am able to access the printers from Windows 95 and download the drivers to those machines, but I am unable to do so with Windows NT 4.0. The documentation stated that it was only compatible with Windows 95 at that time. Has there been any progress made for compatibility with NT 4.0? Also,

Just when I thought I had everything working great with samba mounts on an AIX 4.3 machine (after a lot of testing with a Win95 box), I went to do something quickly on a NT 4.0 workstation. I had some intallation programs in the shared directory that I had used to install programs on the Win95. No problem. I ran over to my boss' NT 4.0 workstation, opened the shared

Win95 client can see everyone but linux box
Hi, I'm lucky enough to have samba working fine on SuSE 8.0, sharing a printer with several windows computers. Earlier today I even had my new wireless card working on a Win95 laptop and it could see the whole network, and I wirelessly printed from my living room. COOL. Unfortunately, I screwed it up. The wireless card seems to conflict with the old pcmcia (wired) card and so I

(Samba version 1.9.18p4) I want to set up my environment thusly: - 2 workgroups, each composed of multiple subnets. - Each workgroup has a DMB and a WINS server (Samba only - no NT) - The two workgroups should collate browse lists so that clients on either workgroup can browse and connect to hosts on the opposite workgroup. I've read the documentation in BROWSING.txt and it does not appear
