samba domain issue
:') I have a small block of addresses allocated by the ISP. In order to conserve those addresses, I have constructed a Linux box (2.0.33 SuSE 5.1) to do IP_masq. (Works wonderfully. SuSE is the best kept secret in the Linux community.) Problem is related to Samba. I MUST be able to relocate NT clients behind my Linux system. I have tried several different methods of configuration for

ipmasq to shoerwall
Hello, Since the ipmasq package has been dropped from debian I decided to migrate to shorewall. My setup is pretty simple: [DSL Modem] -eth0- [shorwall/gateway] -eth1- [local network] ipmasq required that I set the MTU on eth0 to 1492. Migrating to shorewall went well, but a small number of web sites would load slow or not at all. Setting the MTU on eth0 to 1492 and setting CLAMPMSS=Yes

Hi, I am trying to configure two identical systems with the following setup. dom0: Centos 6 OS on Apple Xserve i7 server with PCI cards for 4GB FC (LSI FC949ES) and 10GB Ethernet (Intel 82598EB) dom1: Centos 5 OS with passthru mode of PCI 4GB FC and 10GB Ethernet (ixgbe and mptfc blacklisted in dom0) Everything starts ok, but networking in dom1 using the 10GB interface has extremely high rtt

Domain logon from behind proxy...
I think this has been addressed a few times, but without quite satisfactory results. I have a private subnet behind an NAT proxy server (IPMASQ), and a public subnet on the other side with the NT PDC on the public. (Using both NetBEUI & TCP/IP). The PDC will change later, but currently I'm trying to find out how this all works before I do that. I'm trying to make a client machine on

Xen pci passthru problems with kernel -164.6.1
I previously reported this on the centos mailing list: http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2009-November/085672.html And I've found out that Red Hat has backported the VT-d support from Xen 3.3 to RHEL 5.4. http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2009-November/085677.html It seams to me that the "classic" Xen pci-passthru (up to Xen 3.2) works only on some minor cases as

Problem faxing with SPA2100 in passthru mode.
Hi everyone, I'm trying to send a FAX with the following configuration: Analog FAX machine (OKI) <----->SPA21000<----->LAN<----->Asterisk<--------> PSTN I'm restricted to use passthru mode for faxing, instead of T.38 protocol, because the Asterisk box is running v1.2 and cannot be changed as it is in a heavy production environment. Anyway, it "should"

[LLVMdev] Building libLLVMSupport library - special tricks?
Duncan, Yes, I'd been pretty much performing the same diagnosis in parallel - it seems we just don't have that libLLVMSupport library built. Last night, tried the build of clang a few different ways to get that library built - including specifying the --gcc-toolchain option. No Joy! Which of the clang/llvm source trees provides it? or is it in another source package? tools? Is there a

iommu=soft for Broadcom NICs PCI-passthru
Hi, My environment is as below: Hardware: Dell R210 NICs: Broadcom NetXtreme II BCN5709/5716 (w/o FLR) Xen: xen 4.1.2 Kernel: 3.6.32.57 (final version of xen community) Distribution: Centos 6.2 (upgraded to above kernel) When I added iommu=soft to domU kernel boot line, the PCI passthru-ed NICs can be UP and RUNNING. Otherwise, omit iommu=soft option would make the passthru-ed NICs only UP but

Xen pci passthru problems with kernel -164.6.1
Hi there, After updating a server from CentOS 5.3 to 5.4 my Xen pci-passthru setup has some troubles. The server has two NICs, one used by dom0 and the other assigned to a domU and one SCSI controler assigned to another domU. It has been working fine since CentOS 5.1, when I did the initial setup. After upgrading to 5.4, I get this error when starting the domU with one of the NICs assigned:

Hi Konrad, Today i tried linuses tree of today (last commit is 4c4d285ad5665bfbd983b95fde8d7a477d24a361). It boots dom0 fine, but it fails to start any domU with: "Error: Failed to query current memory allocation of dom0." With my previous 3.1.5 kernel everything is fine, nothing else changed in config in between. dmesg and xm dmesg attached -- Sander Dom0 shows: total

[PATCH 0 of 2] [RFC] Patches to work with processor-passthru driver (v1).
These two patches provide the neccessary infrastructure changes for the processor-passthru driver [www.spinics.net/lists/linux-acpi/msg34655.html] to properly function. The first one is quite easy - we just modprobe the processor-passthru driver. The second allows it to work under AMD machines by exposing the PM RDMSR to dom0. It has been tested with 2.6.32 kernel as well to make sure it does

Feature requests for scp and ssh
Hi Would it be possible to add an option to the scp command, so that if a destination file already exists, rather than overwriting it, scp just skips the destination file, prints a message to stderr and returns an error (non-zero) exit? That would help me immensely. Also, you might want to think about providing a way to execute a series of ssh, scp and sftp commands through one authentication
