Problem with loop
Hi, I try to build a loop difficultly. I have in a folder called Matrices several files (.csv) called Mat2002273, Mat2002274 to Mat2002361. I want to calculate for each file the mean of the column called Pixelvalues. I try this code but as result, I have this message: Mat2002273 not found

Problem with legend
HI, This code is part of a code I used to do a linear regression: >points(var1~var2,data=Regress,pch=21,bg="grey") >reg11<-lm(var1~var2,data=Regress) >abline(lm(var1~var2,data=Regress),lty=2,lwd=2,col="grey") >legend("topleft",legend= >c("NDII from composite", >"y= 0.0007x - 0.1156",expression(paste(r^2 ==

exponential model with decreasing
Hi everybody, I try to do an exponential model with decreasing. In my data, there is no data missing but there negative values. I adapted this following code whose the origin code comes from in this forum: Regress<-read.table("C:\\Users\\Regression.csv",sep=";",dec=",",header=TRUE) Regress f <- function(x,a,b) {a * exp(b * x)} x<-Regress$EWT

Save figure in pdf
Hi, I created a figure with R and I want to save it in .pdf. I used this code: > pdf("res.pca.pdf",width=10,height=8) > library(FactoMineR) > res.pca<-PCA(acp) > res.pca > dev.off() When I go in my folder, I find an empty file ( 0 Ko). Do you know where is the problem. Thank you in advance -- View this message in context:

Not colour but symbols
Hi, Instead to put colour in my histogram, I want to put symbols like lines, dots etc. Do you know the function that does it? To overlay my raster and its boundary
Hi I want to overlay my raster and its boundary which is a shapefile. When I used thise code separately, all is ok: # Open raster >Image<-read.table("C:\\Users\\Documents\\Nouveau\\Frequence.txt",sep="",dec=",",header=TRUE) >testo<-rasterFromXYZ(Image) >plot(testo) >testo2 <- aggregate(testo,fact=10, fun=mean) >plot(testo2) # open

Draw a nomogram after glm
Hi all R users I did a logistic regression with my binary variable Y (0/1) and 2 explanatory variables. Now I try to draw my nomogram with predictive value. I visited the help of R but I have problem to understand well the example. When I use glm fonction, I have a problem, thus I use lrm. My code is: modele<-lrm(Y~L+P,data=donnee) fun<- function(x) plogis(x-modele$coef[1]+modele$coef[2])

ggplot: problem with fill option in stat_smooth()
Hi all, I am using ggplot2 and continuing to find it very useful and pretty. However, I am trying to create some graphics for publication that would be included in an MS Word document (not my choice!) in Windows Vista. The problem is that I want to use stat_smooth() to add an fitted linear model line along with its 95% confidence band, but I cannot seem to get the confidence band in a format

Graphics - plotting two graphs
Hi, I wanted to plot 2 lines on a single graph. Each graph has one axis that can be common. The code that I'm using is: ------------------------------------------------------- par(mfrow=c(1, 1)) x1 <- c(2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12) x2 <- c(10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60) y1 <- c(10,12,15,22,34,21) y2 <- c(40, 130, 150, 145, 40, 30) par(las=1, mar=c(4, 4, 2, 4)) plot.new()

Background fill and border for a legend in dotplot
Dear R help group I've been working on this plot for a while now and now getting around to the minor adjusments. I would like to be able to put a border and background fill around the legend in this plot. I understand the legend 'bty' should do this have this capablity but not sure how the syntax works in this case ###### initalise library("lattice")

Using abline in lattice
Dear all, being a relative beginner in R, I apologize for posting the second question within two days. So I want a stacked barchart, which should look like the one produced by this code: Tuvalu <- c(9,3,4,0,3,0,0) Singapor <- c(38,0,0,0,12,19,0) Samoa <- c(26,16,2,0,5,2,0) PNG <- c(56,4,0,5,2,0,56) Micronesia <- c(6,0,0,0,0,0,0) graph4 <-

Dot plot with two grouping variables concurrently
Dear R help(ers). I'm an R-learner (about 10 hours now) trying to make a ranked dot plot where the symbols are coded by two variables concurrently. I'm trying to use Deepanyan Sarkar's book 'Lattice' as a guide but get the feeling it is a bit advanced for my level of understanding. I have three questions Q1. Right now I like to know how to get the dual coding working

Mutiple vertical reference lines with a dotplot
Dear R helpers I would like to plot vertical reference lines for yearly averages the variable being plotted. In this case there are three years 2002, 2009 and 2010 for a variable Resc_Gt. I've attempted to get the 2002 mean plotting (2.27) using the 'abline' command but no joy. Ideally I would like to be able to compute and plot the means of the three years automatically using a

ggplot2 - how to change location / position of wind rose axis labels?
Dear R users, First just want to say thank you to all for developing such a wonderful software and packages. I need to produce a wind rose plot. Tried with packages circular and plotrix and couldn't quite get what I want. Moved to package ggplot2 and it's going great. However stuck in how to move axis labels. I am using the wind rose from the help to learn how to do what I need (code

is there any option like cex.axis in ggplot2?
Dear list,   I made boxplots using ggplot and want to control for x- and yaxis. Using "plot" I can do it by setting cex.axis equally to any size but can't figure out how to do it with ggplot.     ggplot(dat, aes(x = factor(time), y = volume)) + opts(axis.title.x=theme_text(size=8),axis.title.y=theme_text(size=8)) + geom_boxplot() + geom_jitter(aes(colour = id))+labs(x =
