[1.3.20] Mouse stuttering issue in World of Warcraft
I just installed 1.3.20 from the PPA on my Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit installation.
One of the new features is the "Option to clip the mouse inside fullscreen windows". I wonder if this is related to the problem that has now cropped up since 1.3.19.
In World of Warcraft when I move my mouse the position resets at constant intervals (~ 2 seconds). (When moving the mouse ever two seconds the

Network issue
Hi Stephen,
Thanks again for getting back to me, Ivan Krylov responded also and suggested windows binaries and I must confess I was only familiar with installing from files via the package sources (apart from the conventional install.packages method), so the solution was as simple as installing via the binaries. Thanks again, best wishes, James

How to let a Windows App talk to a Windows Scanner Driver
Hi there,
I know that Wine usually offers the system's SANE scanners to Windows applications using a custom implementation of the twain.dll.
In my case, I'm using a network scanner which has no linux drivers (Canon ImageRunner 2200). I was able to successfully install the Windows driver on Wine, and the ScanGear Tool that comes with the driver reports that the Scanner is online and the

Windows app to record audio with squelch?
Hello vorbis,
I'm chasing something to record the output of a radio scanner for long
periods. It really needs to be able to split files (start a new output
file every X MB), not record silence (the scanner sends no signal when
there's no transmission, rather than sending static), and run under
windows (because that's the requirement, ok). A command line app would
be fine... Ideally it

Name resolution error help needed
Hello,
I've checked the FAQ and followed steps I can find there. I made sure my
/etc/hosts is correct as in the FAQ. I tried complete
uninstall/reinstall of Wine and data. Iceweasel and all other normal
linux programs work fine to resolve addresses. WoW under Wine works
fine. Fresh install of Firefox for Windows only works under Wine if I
use a IP address instead of a hostname, so Wine

FAX Options
Hi,
Is FAXing with Asterisk a practical option ? Or is it better just to
use a plain fax connected to an FXS and just switch with Asterisk. I
specifically wanted to know if there was any experience using just the
fax scanner to send faxes and receive them via asterisk and the to
e-mail. My idea was to take my old fax connect it to an FXS port and
send faxes with the fax machine (using the fax

let's see what the app store says
"multimarkdown composer" has been out for 4 weeks now,
so let's mosey on over to the app store to see what it says...
"composer" is #184 in productivity apps, a bit disappointing,
considering that it was in the top-20 when it first came out...
it's gained only 5 reviews over the 18 it had right off the bat.
perhaps even more surprising, to some, is that

Samba 4 join AD by samba
Hi,
I have a task which requires AD + windows roaming profiles + automatic
backups.
I want to use samba 4 AD server (debian jessie) + samba 4 file server for
user's home profiles (opensuse 13.1) + zfs for storage backend.
The reason why I need 2 servers (actually a server with hosted lxc
container) is because opensuse has kerberos mit by default (
samba at lists.samba.org.)
I've
