LTSpice IV Won't Launch from the Wine Menu
It's been a while since I used LTSpice, but it always worked on Wine no matter which distro I was running. However, I recently installed it on both Mint 11 and Mint 12 and had the same problems. The first problem I noticed was when I installed it, it placed the desktop configuration file on my Mint desktop. I had never seen that happen before. The second problem was that the application

Problems with NTFS...
My sincere recognition for the great work developed when making Wine. I am having a problem with the version 1.2-rc3; specifically I cannot write (from applications that they run in Wine), toward NTFS partitions; the strange thing is that I can read and until erasing files (from the browser of Wine or from Xplorer2 for example). If I run Ltspice for example, I can load without problems the

Wine 1.3 and weird error: Unhandled page fault on read
Hey guys, There's a weird issue occurring that doesn't make sense to me. Whenever I run any 3D application, I get the following error: wine: Unhandled page fault on read access It's followed by a few strings, and the debugger kicks in. This seems to only affect 3D application. Thanks, in advance, for the input. :) r2rX :D

Problem running BBC Doctor Who game in Linux Mint Debian
Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 Laptop running 64bit Linux Mint Debian Edition 201109. The laptop has ATI Radeon M92 (HD 4500 / 5000) graphics. This is based on Debian testing and because at present there is no WINE in the testing repositories, I have installed 1.3.30 from: http://frickelplatz.de/debian/ This seems to work fine: I can run LTspiceIV perfectly. However ... I have tried

[PATCH] Extend Multiboot1 with support for ELF64 file format
This patch is just a (shameless) copy from bug #28 [1]. The original patch has been sitting there for a couple of years now, and it was based on Syslinux v 4.05. The patch I am posting here is just a re-base on v.6.03. Whichever inadequate formatting (tabs, trailing spaces...), or any kind of correction that was required for the original patch to be accepted, is probably still required now.

close to running framemaker 8
Hello felllow wine users, Using some of the dll packages from my vista machine, I managed to complete the installation of framemaker 8. When the application is run for the first time, it asks for the EULA to be accepted. The first time this happened, wine asked to install 'Gecko' for html to display (im assuming the EULA is a form based in html). The buttons to accept, reject and cancel

Wine doesn't load an application-provided DLL
I'm trying to get SfArk (http://melodymachine.com/) to work under Wine. Yes, there's a (proprietary) Linux version on the website, but it won't decompress some files, so I need to use the Windows version. The installer runs fine, but when it's time to load the program Wine complains about "lsunpa32.dll". Which I think is strange, since it's installed along with the

Finding DLL's
I've searched the web pages, docs and archives but I can't find the answer to my question. How does wine locate dll's for a native windows application? Specifically, I'm trying to get QuickBooks Pro to run and it can't find IPROF32.dll eventhough it is in the same directory as the .exe and that directory is in the path. Can somebody point me to the proper docs or
