SWTOR install 'xml configuration corrupt'
Trying to Install SWTOR for testing, I could dowload the set up file fine, but when I try to run it to get the launcher and start the main download, it crashes with a pop up error box saying that 'The xml configuration seems to be corrupt.' The only thing in console is ':fixme:exec:SHELL_execute flags ignored: 0x00000180'. I checked the appdb and did not see this problem

SWTOR requires 30Gb, wine has only 20 Gb. Allocate memory+?
I have been chosen for beta testing of Star Wars: The Old Republic. First day is tomorrow. The installer program says that I require at least 30 Gb, but Wine only has 20 Gb available. Is there a way to increase the space on the hard drive available to wine? Is any body else doing SWTOR on wine? darKoram

New winetricks 20110402: New verbs acreedbro, bttf101, cim_demo, crysis2, trainztcc_2004, trine_steam, trine_demo_steam, utorrent3, xact_jun2010
Another fortnight, another Winetricks. This one has a heap of bug fixes (e.g. works again in kde, don't think glsl=disabled means disabling glsl.dll, don't expolode if a wineprefix has single quotes in the name), and the following new verbs: DLLs: d3dx11_42 xact: now also installs xapofx1_1.dll xact_jun2010: newer version of xact for games that need e.g. xapofx1_4 Apps: utorrent3: new

Pre-downloaded Wine Gecko Installer?
Hi, I've been doing a lot of testing in isolated WINEPREFIX environments. So, I'm constantly creating new .wine folders and having to run winecfg to set them up. Well, each time I do this, I have to watch the Wine Gecko Installer progress bar, and sometimes it can be slow (like if my internet connection is bogged up). I wish I could keep a local copy that WINE would pull instead of

Can I play any Win7 game on Linux?
Hi, I am apprehensive about buying the Windows 7 for my new desktop PC ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ig_b41uOQCg ) and pay more than 100 euros for it. I don't have enough money before I get the student loans after New Year 2012, and I was wondering if I could get Linux somewhere today or before Christmas holidays. Before I decide, tell me, can I play any Win7 game I like on Linux, by

Playing new Star Wars MMO on MacOS 10.6
Hi, Wine looks like a great way to be able to play games that were only released on Windows... Is anyone currently using it to play the new star wars MMO? If so, can you share with me how is it working for you? I have a older 24" iMac (which is intel based - 2007) and based on what I am reading on the game site as well as here I think Wine would work (provided that the game is supported).

Re: Gaming
This might be necro-posting but this is practically only place which show-up if one tries to search in Wine AppDB for "Battlefield 3" so it is worth to mention that at current state of Wine-1.3.31 any game/application using: 1. .NET Framework (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=2586) higher then 2.0. 2. PunkBuster (http://www.evenbalance.com/) 3.

Seeking RoR help for an upcoming project
Hello, We''re working on building a fairly lightweight, community-oriented site which would be a great opportunity for a beginning-to-moderately-experienced RoR developer looking to cut their teeth on a real site. The site could prove to be highly visible if succesful and would be an excellent addition to your portfolio. Please drop me a line and I can go into detail on the

upcoming 1.9.0 release
I think (cautiously) that recent commits have at last fixed the memory management for most/all the currently ported classes. I get ObjectPreviouslyDeleted exceptions on exit occasionally in bigdemo, but that''s about it. If I never see a C debugger again it will be too soon. Bugs on the tracker are either minor OS X-specific quirks, which I can''t tackle at the moment, and a

Upcoming Tripwire Port Upgrade
I have an updated tripwire port which I'd like to release for testing prior to replacing the existing and currently broken tripwire port. I've tested it under the upcoming 6.1, which it seems to work well in my test environment and will commence testing under 4.11-STABLE, the upcoming 5.5, and 7.0-CURRENT. The things that are on my todo list are: - Fully test under 4.11-STABLE. -

Warning of upcoming removal of ''logunclean'' and ''dropunclean'' interface options.
Harald Welte just announced that the 2.6 Kernels will not support the ''unclean'' match extension except via Patch-O-Matic. Since I have a polciy of not supporting Netfilter features that are only available in P-O-M, I will be removing the ''logunclean'' and ''dropunclean'' interface options from Shorewall. In 1.4.7, a warning will be issued if

Upcoming release schedule
As some of you may know the FreeBSD Project has been attempting to shift over from "Feature based releases" to "Time based releases" as far as trying to schedule them goes. Lets just say that's still a work in progress (as in doing that with FreeBSD 7.0 didn't work out so well). This is the schedule we will be shooting for through the next several years/branches:
