DirecTV2PC gives errors on install & attempt to open
Hey everyone - I'm a total newb to wine. I'm sorry for this. Hopefully someone can help me out.
I'm trying to run DirecTV2PC on my mac. It's a program that lets you watch your satellite TV through your computer.
It won't work via parallels because of the way parallels handles the "virtual graphic card." Apparently it can be done via bootcamp, but I don't want

Monitoring network traffic to a host
Background - I am having an issue with occassional pauses when streaming
high-bitrate media across my home network to my smart TV. I *suspect*
that the root cause is the (incredibly lame) 100 Mbps Ethernet interface
in the TV.
In order to confirm that the peak bitrate really does max out the 100
Mbps connection, I'd like to monitor the communication between my NAS
and the TV. The two

[PATCH v5 04/11] drm: Convert connector_helper_funcs->atomic_check to accept drm_atomic_state
From: Sean Paul <seanpaul at chromium.org>
Everyone who implements connector_helper_funcs->atomic_check reaches
into the connector state to get the atomic state. Instead of continuing
this pattern, change the callback signature to just give atomic state
and let the driver determine what it does and does not need from it.
Eventually all atomic functions should do this, but that's

Stream Test
Hi
Seeing as other people are posting streams to test, the system I have been
developing has an Ogg/Vorbis/Theora stream that you can watch. I would
appreciate any feedback to what players can play it and which players have
problems. (I am using Icecast as the streaming server)
So far I have found VideoLan plays the stream very well. MPlayer was ok,
but wasn't as good at buffering.

Spurious TV load detection on GeForce 6150 (no TV connector)
Hello,
Since I've updated to F13 I keep getting blank screens at "cold" boot
with this card:
00:05.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation C51PV [GeForce
6150] (rev a2)
When I say "cold" boot I mean the first couple of times I turn on my
computer in the morning. After a couple of reboots I get plymouth to
show up, and then X11. This never happened with F12.

TV-Out on a GeForce 2MX supported?
Hello,
I have here a GeForce 2MX (NV10) with a Brooktree BT869 chip for the
TV-Out.
Is the TV-Out on this card supported by Nouveau? I read on the feature
matrix something that the TV-Out is only supported for some Chrontel
chips, furthermore
xrandr -q
shows me only the DVI connection (in fact it's VGA, not DVI), but not
the S-Video connection. If not supported, is this planned for future

bad side effects and managed to stay unnoticed for years that way ...

You can try nvtv (http://sourceforge.net/projects/nv-tv-out/). It bypasses
X and modesetting and programs the Brooktree and CRTC directly. I've
