Wow patch issue
Mepis 11, 9600GT, 3GB RAM, Wine 1.3.37. I'm trying to download the patch that came out Tuesday. All I get is the WOW badge with "Launcher connecting to Patch Server ..." Except that it's not. The latest entries in the 'Launcher.log' is: # System started at 2012-02-03 02:04:40.2105 # system: konamepis #-----------------------------------------------------------

Debian based appliance
Hi, just a short heads up about the current status of libguestfs on Debian: Current git master builds and works fine on Debian sid. The only change you have to make is to use a custom kernel instead of the one in squeeze/sid by pointing DEBIRF_KERNEL_PACKAGE in appliance/debian/debirf.conf to something recent enough (>= 2.6.35) like:

System users, mbox format and global ACLs
I need some help here... ;-) I'm experimenting with global ACLs, but just fail to understand very basic behaviors. So, before digging into the source code, I would really be delighted if someone could immediately point a mistake I'm making and miserably overlooking. The output of dovecot -n is provided at the end of this email. Just in case, conforming to the suggestion made in

[PATCH] OCFS2: Pagecache usage optimization on OCFS2
Hi. I introduced "is_partially_uptodate" aops for OCFS2. A page can have multiple buffers and even if a page is not uptodate, some buffers can be uptodate on pagesize != blocksize environment. This aops checks that all buffers which correspond to a part of a file that we want to read are uptodate. If so, we do not have to issue actual read IO to HDD even if a page is not uptodate

RC16 is a lot slower that RC7
I tried RC16 from RC7 and like other releases since RC7 it is significantly slower. I'm still trying to figure out why. But I have again switched back. Do new version take up a lot more ram perhaps? I'm running with a gig of ram, and I'm running a few other apps. It's not a fast computer, just an old 754 pin semptron. But the point is that RC7 runs a lot faster than RC16.

RC7: BUG! and patch [Was: Re: rc7 bug? [Was: deliver LDA and INBOX location] (fwd)] (fwd)
Could someone confirm, please, that this bug report and its proposed fix are being checked? 1. Is my analysis (message below) about right? 2. Is my proposed patch (attached) about right? 3. Is this being addressed for "rc8" (or whatever) and its successors? Many thanks. -- : David Lee I.T. Service : : Senior Systems Programmer

Error msg on shell trying to open WoW (Newb)
Hey everyone, I'll start off by saying I've never successfully made the transition to linux after trying 6 times. Something like this always happens, and I end up giving up and going back to windows; this time, however, I'm determined to win . [Laughing] I've already posted on the ubuntu forums about this issue, and they referred me here. I'll quote the issue so far. >

After that I figured I'll just do a few more changes and release RC7. So, v2.1.0 will probably be released within 1-2 days. So, the one new

rc7 bug? [Was: deliver LDA and INBOX location] (fwd)
Anyone had any thoughts on the item below? If the problem is with my config, I'd like to be guided towards how I might resolve it. If it is a bug in rc7, it would be good to fix it, and I'd be happy to beta-test. -- : David Lee I.T. Service : : Senior Systems Programmer Computer Centre : :

Problems under opensuse-10.3-x86_64
Hi, I have a lot of problems to compile or to run the dovecot on my OpenSUSE 10.3 x86_64. Sometimes the compiled binary cannot read the existing and running config, the dovecot -n results in: ian:/opt/src/build/dovecot-1.1.rc7 # /opt/dovecot/sbin/dovecot -n # 1.1.rc7: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf Error: Missing auth section for server default Fatal: Invalid configuration in
