Hi: I'm trying to make run a windows application with wine. It has been made with visual foxpro (I don't know if this information is useful, but just in case...). The application uses the class Scripting.FileSystemObject included in scrrun.dll The application starts properly, but at one point it shows a message stating that it cannot find the Scripting.FileSystemObject class, and stops

VT Accounts
Hi I am trying to get this program (accounts package) running under wine. It installs OK but when I run it I get an error that tells me; ActiveX component can't create object but I am not convinced it is an ActiveX problem (or a permission problem). When run in terminal I get the following output; gjj at samson:~$ env WINEPREFIX="/home/gjj/.wine" wine "C:\Program Files\VT

tippfix 1.1 fails to run in wine
Hello, the task is to run tippfix 1.1 in wine. http://www.krswelzheim.de/images/downloads/tippfx11.zip I tried wine 1.1.28 as shipped with openSuSE 11.2-x86_64 and also the just release 1.1.40 package from the openSuSE build service. Wine no longer launching Apps
Hello all, Yesterday my copy of Wine (1.1.12) no longer launches graphic intensive applications. It will launch notepad, but WOW, City of Heroes, or any game I have on Steam simply does not open. The respective splash screens come up for those games, as does the steam client itself, but once tried to launch they fail. When I attempt to run wow via wine in the terminal, I get the following

EVE Online
Trying to run EVE Online through wine on my Asus EEEPC with a special flavor of Ubuntu called Easy Peasy built for netbooks. I run the app after doing all the necessary installation procedures and once the game goes full screen, I get sound just fine but the screen goes black and eventually freezes the computer entirely. I ran wine through terminal and got these errors: Code:

CUPS Printers not showing up in wine (notepad et al)
I compiled and installed wine 1.1.8 (from src from winehq) probably 4 months ago...ish. I never tried printing until today after I installed MathCAD. My printer (which normally shows up in Ubuntu 8.04 32 bit) doesn't show up at all in wine. MathCAD and notepad both threw an error "Install a printer before trying to print" <- not exact quote. I tried installing bullzip pdf

Wine Crash and Total Failure
I tried using wine to run World Book off of its CD on Linux. Then I made the mistake of trying to run it as an admin (Don't jump on me about that. I didn't know the dangers of running wine as an admin [Embarassed] ). It came up with a message when I ran it in the terminal saying "wine has crashed. Please clear ________ and reinstall." That's all I could read. I don't

Not enough disk space error?
Hi, I have installed Samba on a Debian machine. I have created 2 shares on these filesystems: /dev/hde3 71G 33M 71G 1% /storage/1 /dev/hdg1 75G 8.8G 66G 12% /storage/2 As you can see, both have in excess of 60GB free space. When I try to copy files to the filesystems via Samba, an artificial limit is being imposed - at around 8.8GB. From windows I get

df -h shows system at 100% used, but there is space left
Has anyone seen output like this before? Notice on my /dev/md0 That it reports 100% used, but also 5.3 Gb available. What would cause this? # df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/sda2 71G 1.6G 66G 3% / /dev/sda1 99M 22M 73M 23% /boot tmpfs 506M 0 506M 0% /dev/shm /dev/md0 903G 851G 5.3G 100%

Strange Behavior using FUSE client
I've recently setup a distributed/replicated cluster and have had an issue with seeing the directories on the cluster. Also, a df -h only shows data from one of the three bricks. The strange behavior doesn't end there. If I log into the 'primary' server as root, then do an ls on the client, the directories appear. However, df -h is still incorrect. I'm not sure exactly

ZFS filesystem size mismatch
A ZFS file system reports 1007GB beeing used (df -h / zfs list). When doing a ''du -sh'' on the filesystem root, I only get appr. 300GB which is the correct size. The file system became full during Christmas and I increased the quota from 1 to 1.5 to 2TB and then decreased to 1.5TB. No reservations. Files and processes that filled up the file systems have been removed/stopped.

What is the most efficient way to assign to PARTS of obje cts in other frames/environments?
For nested function calls it appears that a combination of environment() and '<<-' will also work: f1 <- function() { x <- rep(NA,4) # Object to be modified by function f2 environment(f2) <- sys.frame(1) # Make f1's environment available to f2 f2(2) # Changes 2nd element of x print(x) } f2 <- function(i) { #

Questions about qcow2 file size management
Hi all. I have a few questions regarding the qcow2 format. 1/ Allocated size vs. file size When creating a VM, I indicated a size of 10 G. $ls -lsh 7,7G -rw------- 1 libvirt-qemu libvirt-qemu 11G oct. 14 10:04 prod.qcow2 The allocated size is lesser than max size. Alright. I think I more or less grab the difference between allocated size and file size, but I'm not sure I get the point
