construct a bundle, subdirs do not exist?
Hi, Sorry to bother, but I checked around and did not succed creating a bundle from six existing packages (which are checkable, installable, etc. individually). I carefully followed the procedure given in ch. 1.1.5 Package bundles. However, I am getting hoffmann at fluke:~/R/Sources >R CMD check cwhmisc * checking for working latex ... OK * using log directory

[LLVMdev] XFAIL ASAN on ARM
Hi Kostya, Alex, Some changes in the sanitizers made this test start passing: TestCases/Posix/start-deactivated.cc http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/clang-cmake-armv7-a15-full/builds/4277 It passes on both ARM and Thumb, both NEON and non-NEON. Should we mark is as PASS now? Or is that a fluke? cheers, --renato

Delayed Write failures with Windows XP
We have users who have their desktop folders on a Samba share. Some of them have been getting "Delayed Write Failure" messages recently on the "cookies/index.dat" file. At first I thought it was a fluke related to a network outage we experienced, but now I'm finding out it had been happening previously. This is Samba 2.2.5 on SuSE Linux SLES7 on S/390. Does anyone have

bad case of buzzing
Hello, We are at wit's end on this. One (and only one) of our five asterisk installation is giving us real headaches. Buzzing and/or choppy sound interfere with conversations. I recorded some conversations with monitor() and no problem whatsoever appear in the recording, while the local user was hearing the buzz and half my words. This is a 1.2.16 installation with mISDN but mostly using

Caller ID, Called ID and Forwarded ID
Last month I saw something funny which I can't reproduce anymore: A 0500 number in .au is a service phone number and are forwarded on exchange level to a real phonenumber. So if A calls B it gets forwarded to C. Very simple. Now the funny thing, on the phone of C, I saw both A and B as the "caller id". I've been asking around and trying to get it again with a private 0500

Transfer feature dialing out after one digit
Because some users have requested transfer beep confirmations I've switched our phones over to using the asterisk transfer feature instead of the built in transfer functions of the phones. While testing it was working fine, but I changed something in features.conf and suddenly any time I hit transfer (*2), I can only enter one digit before asterisk immediately tries to dial that extension.

[LLVMdev] 3.6.1 -rc1 has been tagged. Testing begins.

SCRATCH update wrong date, soft links, Debian stable, -L, ...
Hmm, scratch the issue I used touch on the file and now it works (even though it shouldn't have made a difference). In short - maybe its not [purely anyway] rsync related. (From last post) (Though 'newer' and 'stat' had already clearly showed it to be newer, and though I had saved it to be sure it had a recent date - I tried touch anyway. Still - newer said it was newer

Dovecot pop3 and SonicWall?
Hello Has anyone else run into a problem with dovecot pop3 and sonicwall? A week after switching to dovecot we had two local customers call and report they could no longer download emails with attachments. It turned out to be the email macro filter on the router. After the first report I thought maybe the customer had just changed something or it was a fluke, but then a day later we had the

Need assistance connecting Garmin GPS via USB in Mapsource
I am new to Linux, Ubuntu, WIne etc but despite all that I am operating in Ubuntu 8.10, with MapSource 6.13.6 installed via Wine 1.0.1. I know there is an issue in getting MapSource to recognize the GPS while connected via USB but I am unable to understand the steps provided to solve this issue. I've been advised to enter "sudo modprobe garmin_gps" in terminal and to check the

NFS config problem
Hello, First let me say how much I appreciate Shorewall. I just downloaded shorewall-1.3.14.tgz, built and installed it without error, and had it working with only minimal fiddling with the config files. I''m having trouble getting NFS to work with Shorewall. I followed the info on the "Ports required for Various Services/ Applications" page but I couldn''t get it to

Python 2.4 64-bit problem w/CentOS5.3?
I'm getting this on two XF_64 systems by running "yum update" today. Perhaps Python 2.4 is missing some lib64 libraries? --> Running transaction check ---> Package python.x86_64 0:2.4.3-24.el5_3.6 set to be updated ---> Package tkinter.x86_64 0:2.4.3-24.el5_3.6 set to be updated --> Processing Dependency: /usr/lib64/python2.4 for package: libxslt-python --> Processing

httpd listening only on IPv6 interface on CentOS 7
I?ve held off reporting this since I thought it might just be some kind of fluke, but I?ve seen it now on three different boxes. The symptom is that the stock configuration of Apache only listens for IPv6 connections: $ netstat -na | grep :80.*LISTEN tcp6 0 0 :::80 :::* LISTEN You should see a second line there for IPv4, but you don't:

Install from CD bug
I commented on this a few posts back, but thought it was perhaps a fluke of mine, but I'm not so sure now. Tonight, I tried without success to install the mysql package from the 4.1 CD's and I got the same non-event as before. After selecting the package with "add/remove software", I checked the mysql box, then added the server and perl modules to complete things. The CD

Windows 2003, Cygwin, and rsync
I just installed Cygwin / OpenSSH / rsync on two Dell PowerVault 745N NASes running Windows 2003 Appliance Edition. My rsync daemons are running, ssh works, and in theory all is well. But... I'm getting an average of maybe 15 Mb/s rsyncing between them. Now, I know I have an issue in the way they're connected... one is attached to a Cisco 2970 (1 Gb/s), which is attached to a NetGear
