Acer Aspire One 522
Hello:
I've prepared information on the Acer Aspire One 522 netbook which I
think is now ready to be added to the laptops section,
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Laptops .
I think that this model is different enough from the "old" Acer Aspire
One that is should appear separately under the "Acer" heading. There are
now over 20 different models called Acer Aspire One,

Acer Aspire One 532h Review
Netbook model names normally aren?t exactly easy to remember and I?m sure many people are also confused by the sometimes very similar model names.
It looks like Acer is abut to change that, well on one model at least, with the Laptop Battery for ACER UR18650F-2-QC218 AR-TM3270 (http://www.laptopspark.com/products/Laptop-Battery-for-ACER-UR18650F-2-QC218-AR-TM3270-laptop-5736.html) One Happy.

Acer Aspire V7-582PG (Haswell, GTX 750M) fails to power off GPU via Power Resources
Hi PCI/ACPI PM experts,
Since Linux 4.8, nouveau switched to rely on the PCIe port driver to
transition to D3cold. This however does not happen for an Acer Aspire
V7-582PG (Haswell, NVIDIA GTX 750M) from Rick.
Any idea why? acpidump, lspci, dmesg and other details can be found in
the linked bug below.
Kind regards,
Peter

Hmm I just installed Linux 4.7.6 and ran it without any additional kernel
parameters and I am getting results close to ˜7.5W too, so it seems to work
there.

And there are no power_resources_Dx directories under
/sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:00:1c.4/firmware_node?

Are you able to try the following patch and send me dmesg (or attach it
to that bug)? It should show if the ACPI core even tries to add those
power resources.

You need to build the whole kernel, install and reboot.

I hope Bob and Lv can answer why _OSI fails.
In the meantime I think we should check flags.power_resources in nouveau

Disable d3cold on bridge when falling back to _DSM
The workaround patch has been merged in v4.9-rc3-34-gb0a6af8 (and backported to
4.8.7 via v4.8.6-109-g7290da4) but apparently
