Winecfg not doing anything
I am using Ubuntu Dapper. I'm trying to set up wine. I'm reading all these guides and they say to run winecfg in the Terminal and then click on this or that tab. Now, when I run winecfg in the terminal, this is the output: wine: creating configuration directory '/home/daniel/.wine'... (daniel is my username) It doesn't go back so that you can type in a new command but I can

what version fixed the utorrent peer drop bug?
I'm using 1.1.7 with utorrent 1.8 using the built in rss to seed torrents or atleast I was at TL until I got banned for ghosting (I was like wtf is that) So I can only conclude that wine is causing the glitch ghosted torrents... as many people use utorrent and if it was something wrong with their site they'd be banning bucketloads so I wanna downgrade my wine version as low as i can go

Wine 1.1.7 and 1.0.1 not working on Intrepid 64 bit
I posted this on Ubuntuforums but after reading a bit more it seems this is mostly used for gaming questions so I decided to come here. I am running 64 bit Ubuntu intrepid (still a beta but a release candidate). I can see Wine in my application menu but when I go to Programs/Acessories/Notepad nothing happens. I am unable to open the configuration nor am I able to uninstall using the Applications

Wine & Intel 945 : hangs when switching between X & console
Hi All, I have been running WINE quite contently for the last year & think it is an amazing product! There is one thing though that is quite bugging and I would like to share to see if others also have this experience and we can maybe fix.. On my laptop (it has an Intel 945 GM video chipset) I'm having problems when using WINE. Not with WINE itself but more with system stability.

Need help running uTorrent with Wine...
Hello, I have a server that has FreeBSD 6.2, and I have Xorg, Flushbox and a vnc server installed on it. I've also installed the latest version of wine, and I'm trying to launch uTorrent with it. I tried to launch 2 other small programs, and they worked perfectly, except a small error message before they were launched: > err:process:__wine_kernel_init boot event wait timed out

Stopped working!
I use Ubuntu Hardy, and have used wine with Utorrent for months now. Yesterday it failed to respond. It won't let me load utorrent from the Applications menu, nautilus or command line. It won't let me configure wine either. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both with latest versions. I have switched to KDE to try to get them to work - no joy! Any ideas?

VNC into active session
Hi all, Can I VNC into an active session? I mean user can see what we do in their screen. Right now the /etc/sysconfig/vncservers is: VNCSERVERS="2:userku" VNCSERVERARGS[2]="-geometry 800x600" I have vncpasswd for userku and restart vncserver. Then, can I vnc from another pc into the active session on the userku PC? Thank you very much. -- Fajar Priyanto | Reg'd Linux

Use x11vnc instead (and also remove the above copy). > Jul 18 11:17:16 systemd[1]: vncserver@:0.service: control process exited, code=exited

That's a separate package you'll have to install (yum install x11vnc). Note that x11vnc's display number will be the same as that of the X server it was started from, so you'll

VNC Remote Install Disk
Hey there - I have a tutorial i wrote for my own docs - not sure if you guys want it on the centos wiki. It is a custom centos server 4X disk in which the install connects to a remote listening VNC viewer. The purpose of this disk is simple - to be able to install a second system with centos without having to hook up a keyboard/mouse/monitor. This second machine is my test machine, and I

Maintain VNC session across reboots?
Hello, I have Ubuntu installed as a domU on the debian dom0, and connect via VNC in dom0. This is great for doing installs, and seeing the console output. However the VNC session doesn''t seem to keep the active connection during a domU reboot. Has anyone got this working? If so, how? -- John _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list
