Gameguard ruins wine?
A little quote from the official cabal forums: > Playing Cabal on linux is impossible thanks to gameguard, WINE (or Cedega) cannot correctly emulate the environment needed for gameguard to run which causes Cabal to exit with an error. You should check the WINE (and Cedega) websites for other people views/experiences trying to run any gameguard protected game on linux, none of them work. >

fixing cannot route packet error
I am seeing a problem that looks the same as that described in message: http://mail.nl.linux.org/tinc/2001-06/msg00000.html titled : Error: cannot route packet - please help The thread says it is fixed in the CVS version. I did a "cvs checkout -r CABAL tinc" and installed that version. Now tinc always fails trying to establish the meta-data connection. I assume I compiled something

CentOS Based Infromational Document
For those of you who are either part of the secret cabal, or are otherwise keeping track of it, there is a new version available. The current version of the cryptex is version 3.1. It's changed rather significantly in some areas.

Disk Space Problems with Rsync.
I have a problem with rsync causing a filesystem to think that it is 100% used when actually it isn't. A quick reboot will cause the filesystem to go to about 70%-75% used. Below is the script that I am executing. I am using Red Hat Linux release 7.1 (Seawolf) Kernel 2.4.9-34smp on a 2-processor i686. Does anyone have any idea on what causes this and how to fix this? #!/bin/bash export

Samba3 Win95 interoperability
Greetings, I am trying to get samba3 to work well with W95. The windows 95 box can see the samba server, but cannot authenticate (claims wrong password) to get to any shares. I know the smbpasswd is good as I can authenticate and get to the shares using the same account and password on a W2000 machine. I suspect I am doing something wrong in the [global] section of the samba server. Would

tinc1.0pre3
I gave tinc1.0pre3 a test after the modifications you have done today. It insists that it is still 1.0pre2 but this is due to the fact the you used "1" as tag for configure.in rather than "CABAL". Anyway - results were not much more successful than yesterday: *** SERVER side log file from startup until sone seconds after connection was established *** Jun 25 21:14:30 lemon

[CSI] smb.conf share definition "force group =" option
Greetings, I am using samba-3.0.1pre3-1, and have noticed that the "force group" and "force user" option no longer seems to work. In spite of the option being set, the files copied are set to the current users user and primary group. Am I missing something with regards to how this is supposed to work or is this a bug? This is one of my share definitions for a team of

nfs mounted /home and selinux
I'm trying to set the context on an nfs mounted /home. I believe exactly like in Redhat's Deployment Guide at http://www.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/5.2/html/Deployment_Guide/ch45s02s03.html On my system running CentOS 5.2: $ ls -alZ /home drwxr-xr-x root root system_u:object_r:home_root_t . drwxr-xr-x root root system_u:object_r:root_t .. $ mount -t
