winetricks problem - 'large files' error
Attempting to get wine 1.1.16 working with Eve online, which requires the corefonts library. When 'sh winetricks corefonts' is entered, a spam of errors (below) appears. Any suggestions to what I am doing wrong, and how to fix? Code: Executing cp -f /root/.wine/drive_c/winetrickstmp/Verdana.TTF /root/.wine/drive_c/winetrickstmp/Verdanab.TTF /root/.wine/drive_c/winetrickstmp/Verdanai.TTF

lmer / variance-covariance matrix random effects
Hello, has someone written by chance a function to extract the variance-covariance matrix from a lmer-object? I've noticed the VarCorr function, but it gives unhandy output. Regards, Roel de Jong

Winetricks / DX9
Hi I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask a question about Winetricks, but I'm going to try anyway since I just can't seem to find a place dedicated to it. ./winetricks directx finishes, but gives a lot of strange feedback which I think isn't supposed to be there. I don't have any games around right now, so I can't see if the thing is working. Code: malkav at

R + LaTeX formula
Hi, what is actually the best method to include R-plots into LaTeX documents? At the moment i use postscript("myplot.eps", width = 12.0, height = 9.0, horizontal = FALSE, onefile = TRUE, paper = "special",encoding = "TeXtext.enc") plot(foo, bar) dev.off() But it is a bit unhandy to scale later and its difficult to get nice formula in the plots. And how should

Team Person Team has various positions (manager, programmer etc.) I would like each one of those positions to reference one or more Person records. A single Person record could be on 6 different teams at the same time in different roles. the same person could even be on the same team multiple times

Using Access Control Lists with SMB2/SMB3 Mounts on Linux Clients
Thanks for the first reply, Jeremy. What about the (future) implementation of RichACL? Will there be any native Linux Client support along with the SMB2/SMB3 protocol? I know, there is a native implemenation for RichACLs in ext4 FS. Unfortunately, smbcals is not a native Linux ACL Tool and has a very unhandy syntax. I just tested some days ago. ;-) I am looking for a solution that allows the

SIP video voicemail problem
Hello all, I am trying to leave a video voicemail but am unable to do so. I am using Ekiga (formerly Gnomemeeting) to make a SIP connection to Asterisk 1.2.4. Ekiga supports h261 for video. The call connects and negotiation seems okay. When I leave a message, however, only the audio is recorded. Looking in the log file afterwards I see many messages like this: Mar 21 22:02:34 WARNING[2418]

AGEod American Civil War vs. Wine 1.1.18
Hi, I'm trying to run AACW (and WIA) under Ubuntu 8.10 x84. I installed Wine 1.1.18, Winetricks and installed AACW and patched the game up to 1.13b. Unfortenately, the game won't start because of an error ("Exception EAccessViolation dans le module AACW.exe dans 00004054. Violation d'access a l'adresse 00404054 dans le module 'AACW.exe'. Printing fails above a certain size
It was suggested here at my work that we get a monitorless NT station so that the Windows PCs could print on our predominantly Sun network. I suggested Samba and had it set up fairly easily (quite nice). I'm running Samba on a RedHat 5.2 system on an Intel chip. The installation went mostly fine. I just had to make the Samba spool directory world writable for the printing to work. When

fonts - newbie squared
Background: I run an NT 4.0 installation that also boots to my primary Linux (Red Hat 9) sitting on a partition in a second drive. Earlier, after installing Red Hat 9, I tried to install wine, but it Had Problems, even when I tried some of the solutions. So I waited. Recently, I tried to install an updated version of wine using an rpm, so I tried to unstall the old stuff. Wouldn't

Windows ACLs map quite well into RichACLs. Unfortunately Christolph Hellwig has peristently blocked any merge of the RichACLs code into the Linux kernel. Album art - requirements

Users therefore want to embed them most times, as you can tell from other audio file formats: the majority of cover art is
