I have finally managed to install office 2003. I can now start everything as a normal (non root) user. Many thanks to all the Wine community and to dimesio for suppport. One very small problem remains : Word only works in safe mode. Any fix for this ? :D Nikolo

I installed MS Office 2003 a while back, I think under Wine 1.3.14 (maybe earlier). Anyway, now, under 1.3.17 Excel 2003 crashes on startup and the setup program crashes as well (I tried to repair the Excel). Looks to me something got broken in the 1.3.17 release or possibly .15 or .16 Does anybody else see this?

I am a new wine user. I downloaded the darwin wine implementation for mac OS X ver 1.1.7 (http://www.kronenberg.org/darwine/) and installed on my computer. I run the wine helper application and tried to open some of the sample applications that came with it.
