Sendmail TLS verify=fail
Hi, I have a small question with sendmail and tls verification. The tls verify fails on our internal/external sendmail servers. For example: STARTTLS=server, relay=mx1.imt-systems.com [89.146.219.60], version=TLSv1/SSLv3, verify=FAIL, cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA, bits=256/256 STARTTLS=server, relay=acsinet12.imt-systems.com [89.146.219.42], version=TLSv1/SSLv3, verify=FAIL,

Apologies for resending this, I am not sure it made it through the first time.. --- Included below are my config files: sendmail.mc, dovecot.m4, dovecot.conf, dovecot-sql.conf. Whenever I try to send email into this system, it rejects it with user does not exist, however, the user does exist as far as dovecot (imap) is concerned, it is in the database. sendmail + plain auth
I'm probably missing something obvious, but I can get sendmail to give me AUTH PLAIN and LOGIN options. What I have is fairly standard configuration. The relevant part of sendmail.mc looks something like this: define(`confCACERT_PATH',`/etc/ssl/certs') define(`confCACERT',`/etc/ssl/ca-bundle.crt') define(`confSERVER_CERT',`/etc/ssl/smtp.crt')

Redhat Authconfig errors
Ok, I've got most everything setup, but I'm not able to confirm pam_ldap and nss_ldap are working properly. (Actually given the examples in SBE, they still appear to be returning information from local files rather than the ldap info.) I wanted to go back and check my authconfig and reset the parameters. However now when I do a authconfig I get this: ---- authconfig --enablecache

sendmail & mail() in php
Hello everyone, I tried to configure sendmail so that I can use mail() in php. I don't host my email server, my ISP does. I just want to configure sendmail so that it uses external email server (my ISP) to send mail. When I executed mail(), i got no error report from php. I checked /var/log/maillog and it indicated that the message was accepted for delivery. However, it didn't

Dovecot 2.0.x + Sendmail 8.14.4 SMTP AUTH not working
Hello! After moving from Centos 5.6 to Centos 6, I figured that Sendmail minor version was updated from 8.13.x to 8.14 and Dovecto from 1.2 to 2.0.x In previous configuration SMTP auth worked fine (no SASAUTHD neccessary) for virtual users table. Dovecot was authenticating virtual users virtual checking dovecot.passwd file. I'm not sure how Sendmail was processing SMTP AUTH for virtual users

FreeBSD pam auth problems
I'm impressed by dovecto and try to upgrade my home system from wu-imapd running there for last 5 years to dovecot. It's straghtforward FreeBSD setup with ssl-only auth, inboxes in /var/mail and user mail under %h/Mail But I get some strange error: Fatal: userdb didn't return a home directory, but mail location used it (%h): %h/Mail:INBOX=/var/mail/%u Thank you in advance!

sendmail not sending after reboot
HI folks, I've an up-to-date CentOS 5.x box on a small intranet (<20 users). We did a reboot over the weekend and all appears well except that clients on the LAN can no longer send email. Just hangs/times out. No clear identifiers in the /var/log/maillog or /var/log/messages. We're not setup for ESMTP as it's a closed network and I'm really hoping for a kickstart as to
