AMD Liano A8 Processors supported on CentOS 6.x?
Hi. Red Hat is saying that AMD Liano A8 CPU's are not supported by RHEL/CentOS 6: https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/articles/65431 Is that true? What can I expect if I try to install CentOS 6.3 on PC with that CPU? -- Ljubomir Ljubojevic (Love is in the Air) PL Computers Serbia, Europe Google is the Mother, Google is the Father, and traceroute is your trusty Spiderman... I've found a few questions about trying to get this to work, I managed to do it, and thought I'd share: - get the evdev driver here: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=1745 - to install, run ./configure --prefix=/usr/X11R6, then make, make install. - edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf like this: Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Mouse0" Driver

This is the same as https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/254 , right? (It's on my TODO list. DDL updates take a little longer than HCL updates.) cheep laser printer recomendations
Hi! I would like to hear what printers go good w/our operating system. While back, I should have checked w/y'all like I'm doing now but I just went ahead and bought a Konica-Minolta PagePro 1350W. Now that W at the end of 1350 is a huge word that means WINDOWS! grrrr! It's a great printer 21pgs/min etc but it doesn't like linux at all and their tech spt will tell you as much. I

I wasn't clear. battery.runtime.low is not a counter, but a value estimated in seconds that is decreasing conforming the battery is discharging. It's mean: How much time (in seconds) will be necessary until the battery achieve the depleted status ( http://www.networkupstools.org/protocols/sec.html#Estimated_Minutes ) . If the UPS don't have a load, this value will be higher than the

SOHO colour laser printer recommendations
Hi List, I'd really appreciate some recommendations for colour laser printers for use with CentOS. It's for light home use with CentOS 5 and CentOS 6 systems. Must have: 1. Colour. Quality not that important as mainly for kids school project type of stuff. 2. Ethernet connectivity - want something I can plug into the network 3. Cheap running costs - don't want to be spending a

efficiently replacing values in a matrix
Hello all, I should probably know this by now... Anyway: I have a large matrix (dim(data) is 3000 18000). In each element are one of the following character strings "0/0", "1/1", "1/2", "2/2". I wanted to replace "0/0" with NA and the other three with 0,1,2 respectively. To accomplish just the first of these four steps I did this:

Can't get Windows program installed under Wine to work
Hi, I am using Ubuntu Linux 10.4 (64 bit). I have been trying to use a scientific program written to work on Windows XP and Vista. I can't run it on my Windows Home Premium as this does not have XP compatability mode. I therefore decided to attempt installation via Wine. I have downloaded the latest version of Wine and installed it. I used Wine to install the program with no problems.

Cannot Sync Browser Lists
I run an IPsec/Freeswan VPN to connect 4 disparet windows LANS. I managed to RTFM until cross-subnet browsing worked (samba 2.0). Having upgraded to 2.2.3 It would seem that this feature is not working. BACKGROUND: originally all sources of information led me to understand that I would need a box running samba behind the firewall/IPsec box as I could not even ping a remote internal IP from the
