I fixed the country code issue but that did not resolve the problem. I also removed all files in /var/lib/clamav and reran freshclam (without rebooting), that also did not fix the problem. Has anyone actually got CLAMD and EXIM working? I've just had a go on a new VPS server without success. The only thing that happened was that my server slowed because clamd was hogging CPU. Hi All, I try to installed ClamAV using rpm from Karan.org repository but I can't find the clamd.conf and freshclam.conf file. After listing the file installed by using rpm -ql | grep clamav, I observe that it was really not included in the installation. Did I miss something here? Hi all, I tried: /usr/bin/freshclam -l /var/log/clamav/clam-update.log and I got some warnings telling me that my ClamAV installation is OUTDATED - please update immediately!... then I tried: yum update clamav, but no clamav package was found. IMHO there is a bug in the latest updater for clamav: * it places a freshclam script into /etc/cron.daily that uses a hardcoded datadir not defined in /etc/clamd.conf its never done that before in the last 5 years or so, and I have a script running from cron.d * its overwrites the permissions of existing directories (lib and log) to another new clamav user, although one already exist
